I'm sure someone out there hates Adam. He's actually becoming more hate-able because he's the only one without a vote.
I've played basketball with / against Marc at the Y on Augusta a few times in the past couple of weeks. Genuinely a nice guy all around. Really down to earth.
When I worked at ESPN Radio a couple years ago I worked with Barry. Everyone's description of him is pretty spot on. Dude just likes to dominate the show and not let the other co-host get a word in. No one liked working with him. He was working in Sales or something but found his way onto the air occasionally when a host was out on vacation. He'd always bull**** with Calvin Murphy before Murph's show and talk about all these old NBA players
He's actually pretty decent. I had to guard him one game recently and he was backing me down in the post. Pretty good post moves. Funky looking jumper but somehow it finds its way in. Overall not too bad dude has decent game - he's in pretty good shape.
IMO the list goes like this: 1) Matt & Adam 2) Charlie 3) Anyone but Barry 4) Barry Yeah, I hate Barry, I think he's the worst. There are some that get on my nerves like Dylan, but I can put up with him. I HAVE to change the station when Barry is on. I do have to throw in....it does drive me crazy how Marc & John tend to talk about nothing but the Texans. They'll mention the Rockets for 5 minutes ("Oh, Yao is out for the year again....so did you hear, Kubiak said the loss is on him!"). Yeah, that's about all of the Rockets talk you'll get out of them. Drives me up the wall. Pugs
sorry to bump this thread, but I hit a new low today. I found myself listening to the fan in Dallas via the internet. With the exception of john and lance, all of those guys have been slacking in their craft. Just one way hosts, only offense no defense.
Josh Innes. Seriously, I don't remember the last time I flipped over there driving home and actually heard him talking about sports. It's always 90210 episodes or some easy listening song he's playing. Teaming him with Rich Douche-Lord doesn't help, either.
My vote is a tie between Dylan and Josh, but my vote goes to Josh because the team of Josh and Rich is so bad. That show is clearly for the casual sports radio listener. You know the type. The guy sitting in traffic headed home from the office who likes sports, but isn't a diehard. He's flipping stations trying to find something that isn't on commercial and he lands on 610 because he knows that it's a sports station. There he'll find a few things that cater to him. 1. Sports talk that isn't too deep because neither host seems to pay enough attention to discuss things like the Astros farm system or the Rockets logjam in the front court 2. "Man talk" that he won't get fed up with because he isn't tuning in to hear sports talk, but rather something that will simply entertain him. 3. Hosts that fit into the "sports talk host" stereotypes that he believes in because he doesn't listen all that much. Rich is the "sports radio mainstay" that steers the show and Josh is the brash youngster who thinks he's too cool for school and says ridiculous things to get a reaction.
Did anybody else hear Rich Lord nuke Josh Innes about 90 minutes ago on AM610? A caller was giving Josh a hard time and Josh said several very inappropriate things back to him. It was disgraceful, complete trash. Rich then blasted Josh like I've never heard before. I don't listen to their show very often, but I've heard Rich over the years and I cannot remember him getting so upset at a co-host.
Why on God's Green hell would you listen to Rich Lord and Josh Innes? And if you're getting dressed down by Rich Lord you should probably just pack it in already.
I've been going at it with Josh Innes on twitter these last 2 weeks or so. Shocked that he actually has some fans. I totally blasted him for his crap and made fun of him for having his truck repoed.
I did get a kick out of Josh interviewing the Jags specifically Terrance Knighton about the Texans being dirty right after the game. He used the Jim Gray/Craig Sager school of interviewing and kept rewording the questions to see if Knighton would bite and name names.
