According to my sources, there is a 50/50 chance that Andre Johnson will play, so the likelihood that he plays equals that to him not playing

    No surprise,

Andre Johnson didn't practice today. Gary Kubiak said he's not ready to play Sunday.

Andre Johnson did not practice with the team, only worked on the side. Kubiak said he's not gonna play Sunday. #Texans

#Texans Andre Johnson hurt just 4 wks ago Sunday. Procedure was just over 3 wks ago. Missing 4 games shouldn't be a surprise/disappointment

    McClain_on_NFL John McClain
Kubiak said he held Johnson out of practice to help him prepare for Cleveland game.

Let AJ sit this week, we still have enough to beat the Jags. Gotta make sure he's 100% with no injuries late in the season.

Good. It's hard to simulate that explosive game speed in practice so it's better to be safe than sorry, as we saw with Arian in week two.

Yeah, this is our franchise cornerstone we are talking about. Would you want the Rockets to rush back Yao or T-Mac after just having surgery when they were still with the team? I wouldn't.

Yeah I bet the Ravens thought they had enough to beat the Jags too ;) With that said, yes, I do expect the Texans to win this week.

Any updates on his status? I say they should sit him this week as well.

Cleveland is 2nd against the pass and 29th against the run. Perfect opportunity to rest Andre for 1 more week, IMO.

To answer your question, no official update. Questionable for Sunday.

Bring him back, but use him sparingly. He's the entire key to the bootleg offense and keeping teams from putting 8 in the box.

I agree, but if he doesn't play this week, there is no reason to play him next week because a bye week follows right? Might as well make perfectly sure.

But since they are 29th against the run they THINK we will run the ball on them right?

I feel Kubiak's wheel spinning in his head with this one, we will probably pass the first 20 plays off the game :p

Look at the teams they've played and you can see why they're so "good" defending the pass.

Bengals, Colts, Dolphins, Titans, Raiders, Seahawks, 49ers.

Thanks for posting that stat. I didn't realize how bad they are against the run. I'm starting to follow football more than I normally do since there isn't any Bball.

My only concern is would it be an issue for him to wait until after the bye to come back.

No... that's just what they'll be expecting us to do!
