Easy to b**** about someone when their standards are clearly higher than yours...and you can't sway their opinion. DD
You want a QB who is wins as much as Cam Newton but more than Matt Schaub. Your standard is the definition of troll face.
He does look bad, Jackson has been hurt all year, and Gates too.....but I would still take him over Matt, wouldn't you? AJ is better than any of those receivers and Foster/Tate are as good as McCoy.....BTW- I don't like Vick all that much either, I would probably keep Back foot Matt over him. All have been injured this year, and this is right where Matt belongs, in this conversation, he is our Tony Romo, just in a different way... Not to mention Foster.....maybe some throws out to the flat to a RB would help his...uh...STATS ! DD
Of course DD also wrote that it is 'about time' the Cougars are playing well, even though they have been to bowl games 6 of the past 7 years (including this season) and will probably have their third 10+ win season this year during the same time span.
Well, when you play in a **** conference and have the 3rd highest enrollment in the great state of Texas anything less would be failure. DD
Know that I don't respond to you for your own edification. I accept that you are the Troll Father and that responses to you are pointless. I respond for the benefit of others on this BBS, that they may see the error of your "positions" and not fall into a state of "belief in the Troll Father." Trent Dilfer was 3 games over .500 for his career. Mainly thanks to getting lucky to play on that one Baltimore team for which he went 7-1. (that's right, Dilfer only started half the season for the Baltimore title team) He was hardly a "winner."
Matt's weakness is that he isn't a winner. The other QBs who don't win as much as him are better because they are better. This cycle will never end. The only way to keep your sanity with DD is to think of him as a circus clown and get amusement out of his trolling.
Worse than Dilfer's. My point wasn't that Matt was more of a "winner" than Dilfer. Quite frankly I hate that whole concept. My point was that Trent Dilfer wasn't really a "winner" either.
I believe that Matt and Trent at this point in Matt's career are about equal, one is a better thrower, the other was a better game manager....but they are both average QBs...nothing special about either of them. If Trent could win a SuperBowl, then so can Matt, the difference is that I would like to have a QB that can ELEVATE his team to that status, not one that needs his team to ELEVATE him. Look, I know it is not popular, I don't really care.....I just have higher standards for what I want out of a QB. I do get that he is winning this year, but I believe that he will still nut it up at the worst possible time, as that is in his DNA. DD
I believe that Dan Marino and Trent Dilfer are about equal. One was a better throw, one was a better winner when it mattered.
I'm not concerned with swaying your opinion anymore. I realized I long time ago that when it comes to the subject of Matt Schaub, you're as stubborn and ignorant as they come, and your commentary serves as nothing more than lulz fodder. Sorry man, but that is the majority opinion around here. Maybe you should take that into consideration.
The majority? LOL - like that is some standard, the majority of people in the world are sheep, they don't think for themselves. Everyone has their own standards, mine, regarding QB are clearly higher. I think Schaub is just....MEH....... DD
