Ummm Austin Collie was putting up better stats than any other WR in the league last season before he got hurt.

Now he doesn't even get a catch.

Stafford and Rodgers are the only two QBs with a similar number of attempts and less interceptions.

The difference is that Brady and Brees have gotten it done enough that when they are in those situations you have faith and not fear. When Matt is in that situation, if you honestly have more faith than fear then I don't think you aren't being honest with yourself. I'm pretty sure we won't go to a Patriots or Saints fanboard and find numerous posts about how Brees and Brady blew it again and that no one is surprised.

Do fumbles not count too? What about balls thrown at the feet of receivers on 3rd down, are those not turnovers of some sort?

I don't think Matt is good enough, he is ok, average, mediocre....but he is not a guy that will lead a team....he is a game manager.....and for me, that is not good enough.

I am happy with a winning record and being 3-0 in the division.

I am happy that we addressed our most pressing concern in the offseason, which was one of the worst defenses in the league, almost in history.

I am happy Arian Foster was not a fluke.

I am happy the team can win without Mario and AJ.

I am happy we have a competent QB.

These QBs you are clamoring for dont just fall off trees. They dont get traded and teams with as many question marks as the Texans dont draft QBs in the first few rounds when they have a QB who has made pro bowls, and put up numbers with the best of them. Sure numbers dont mean squat without the wins, but offense hasn't really been the question surrounding this team.

Hate on Matt all you want, but I'll support him on this playoff march. I am sure you will be there if we dont win a Super Bowl saying I told you Matt would blow it.

But I am confident in Matt and this team. We can compete with any team in the league.

I am happy knowing that every Sunday we are trotting a pretty damn good football team, even with Matt at QB.

This "throw at the feet" meme is false and made- up. Schaub throws at the feet only when he is deliberately throwing the ball away.

His problem yesterday was overthrowing receivers.

No, it's quite real. When Matt throws to guys, particular when they're running sideline to sideline, he tends to put it in the dirt. The tightends have been scooping passes off the ground from him all year.

I think I finally understand why everyone hates on DD now.

    Game manager? Seriously?

Yes, but those show up in statistics as a catch, and to the untrained or blinded fan, they are quality throws.

I just speak the truth, and do it bluntly, some people can't handle that. It's cool, I don't hold a grudge.

    Haters gonna hate....

Go look at pages 5 through 10 of this thread. Ric lays out, in painstaking detail, all of the games in which Schaub has performed well in late situations. This "meaningless stats" stuff is pure nonsense that you've been trying to sell for years because you're too lazy to actually go back and look at the games and think critically about it. That or you're just too stubborn and refuse to acknowledge that you were and are wrong after digging yourself in too deep of a hole bashing Schaub. These things you say simply are not true, and you've never so much as lifted a finger to support or prove them.

Look, I am not saying he has not had his good games, he has...but for the most part, he has not been all that great.....he has been the definition of a guy that gets good stats and crap results - the guy that makes that boneheaded mistake at just the right time to give the game away.

Some of that is immaturity and learning, some of it is just his lack of awareness.

I don't hate the guy, thought it must seem like it....I just find him blandishly mediocre....

Oh, and Ric cherry picked, he is a blind follower, fine with me, nothing wrong with a contrary opinion of mine, other than it is wrong.

    :)

Did you chuckle when he said JACOBY and Walters picked up their games in AJ's absence.

Guys, nothing against DaDakota who I enjoy sometimes. But ya'll realize any debate that lets him rack up 50 more posts is a debate he wins by definition.

I won the debate by being right, not by overwhelming post count.

And yes, I am happy the Texans are 5-3 on their way to 12-4.....and top 2 seed in the conference.

Last post on this from me, but you do realize that saying "I'm right and you're wrong" every 3 posts doesn't prove anything right? You have to support your arguments with actual evidence if you want to avoid looking like a fool.

    Good luck in future debates.

Btw, Reading back over the last few pages, I don't think I'm exaggerating about the every 3 posts thing. Seriously. Way too much, man.
