Maimi keep losing leads, maybe they remember they have to suck for luck.

Their schedule is basically our schedule except they have New Orleans and Buffalo instead of Cleveland. We both have to play Cincinnati, Tampa, Carolina, and Atlanta.

They also have to play the Texans again, while we have a cupcake game vs. the Titans.

The Texans are on track. They must continue to improve, get the injured healthy (especially AJ and Casey, Manning too), avoid any more injuries (easier said than done), and stay focused. I am looking for more Titan games, petal to the metal from start to finish. They must not think, easy schedule, relax, coast; that equals disaster. Coaching, coaching, coaching; psychological management is huge for this team and there are questions on that front. I want to write in a few weeks " this team is on a series roll."

We need to coast to prepare for the playoffs.
I'd rather we just barely get in with a full squad than half a squad like we have now.

We need to get a big enough lead to lose to the Colts and ruin their chances at Luck.

    1. What liljojo said
    2. The Texans, New Orleans, and Buffalo are three of the best teams in the league.
    3. The Texans are better than a lot of teams that the Titans aren't.

Calling it now...we will be resting week 1 of the playoffs. Yep, I know but we should be better then anyone in the West and we have the tie-breaker over the Steelers and play Cincy.

Hopefully we're not also resting in week 2 of the playoffs. :)

All this hand-wringing over the Colts and Luck.... While I'd prefer the go 7-9 and get a mid-round pick, if this year has taught us anything it's that the Colts are a terrible team. They have no running game; the offensive line is poor and their defense is atrocious. Even with a healthy Manning, I don't know if this team would have won 10 games. I'm shocked at how effortless they've fallen off a cliff. If they want to use a gift #1 overall pick on an elite back-up, have it. Better that than a player that might actually make the '12 Colts better.

I honestly think the colts could go 0-16. They got blown out by a titan team that we blew out the week before. They are REALLY bad.

I hate the guy, but it really is a testament to Peyton's greatness. As a Texan fan, I won't miss him at all...but as a football fan, it will be sad if he's played his last game.

Peyton's one of those guys that I know I SHOULD hate, but he's just too darned fun to watch for me to actually hate him. So I just hate him twice a season.

Speak for yourself; an 0-16 season *AND* the end of Peyton's career would trump anything short of a Texan Super Bowl win for me. (But it'd be pretty, pretty close.)

It would be sweeter to me if the Colts continue to suck and miss Luck by one pick.

My morbid dream scenario would be for Peyton to come back this year, play one game, win that game, and further injure is neck in the process.

I can't muster any hate for Peyton. My favorite non-Texan in the league. I think the NFL is a better place with him than without him.

Last year's win over the Colts was infinitely sweeter than this year's: we beat the best QB in the game (I know: arguably the best).

I hope he comes back. I hope the Colts finish 2nd in the division, getting their asses kicked by the Texans twice. How sweet would that be?

That only happens if teams continue to figure out New England (easier said than done) or if the AFC North beats up on each other. We need Cincinnati to take a game from Baltimore and Pittsburgh, and then we need Pittsburgh to get some revenge on the Ravens at home. If all that happens, AND the Texans lose no more than one game from here on out, then I will say we're going to get a bye week. I'm keeping an eye out for 12-4.

It would be the opposite of sitting out their starters against the Jets! :p
    Play manning!
