Jacoby Jones got a catch, Shaub ran it for a TD, and Kareem just made a decent defensive play. Who are these Texans?
It really looks great on the field... and contrasts well with the red fans in the seats, and looks great with the sun on the field when the roof is open.
Because the play is whistled dead. The only reason they kept playing there was that the players didn't hear the whistle.
I understand logistically why. I have always just felt it was not fair that an offsides can be played through with other team getting a choice, but a false start cannot.
They do have other versions of "false starts" that aren't whistled dead... like illegal formation or illegal motion. However, if an o-lineman moves early, play is dead. Just like in track and field and a runner starts early Also, offsides is sometimes whistled dead when the defense gets a clear advantage and touches an offensive guy.
