I have a tablet already . Are you saying I should get a tablet and get the data only plan and then stick it in my smartphone? Hmmm...not a bad idea. Bah!! data plans for tablets are astronomical as well. I don't need voice minutes
The Nexus will be better imo. I like the Note, but too big for me. 4.65 is already pushing my own limits but I'm wrapped in that ice cream sandwich. You don't necessarily have to use kies. Just format your SD card as FAT32 in the Note, and use drag and drop for files, pictures, music, etc. Since, Android requires you to sign into a Gmail account, you can sync contacts using that, and if for some reason you'd like to keep a copy on your Mac, you can export contacts from Gmail.com onto your system
Here is a size comparison between the Galaxy Note tablet and Galaxy Nexus phone. It's a bit smaller than the tablet. It's almost half a foot long at 5.5". It will work for people with large pockets and baggy slacks. It could be a squeeze in pockets with narrow openings or a tailored suit. It would mess up the drape. This article is somewhat misleading. The only reason Apple updates all their phones is because they want to keep one code base. It is much easier and cheaper to maintain but it screws their existing customers with older devices. The iphone 3G was useless after the first update. It ran so slow that my wife pretty much had to throw her phone away.

I want a galaxy note so bad. I spend more time reading and typing on my phone than actually talking on it and the note would be perfect.
ya no kidding, my nexus S has a 4" display, i thought it was 'big' at the time of purchase, but now i desperately yearn for something bigger
