i was thinking the rangers had the best overall team coming into the series and even this game. now, i'm thinking they may just be the second best team to the cards. but, tomorrow night will tell all.

Funny, fans in Boston said the same thing in 1986, and Cubs fans said the same thing in 2003. I've only seen one team come back to win a series after a demoralizing loss like this... and that was the 2005 Houston Astros against St. Louis. More often than not, though, its all about the pitching matchup... and it doesn't look good when its Carpenter vs. Harrison.
Not that I have to explain anything to you, but what the hell. My dad was/is a lifelong RANGERS fan. He lived off and on in Dallas and he fell in love with them. We moved to Houston when I was about 4, and I was raised following the Rangers mostly and the Astros as well. I've had the Rangers as my team pretty much for as long as I can remember. I still will root for the Astros, but their management and style just really rubs me the wrong way. So you can call me "bandwagon" all you want. But I know what I've been rooting for for years.
