Whatever... you have to admit that the Rangers just blew their best chance to win it all.... twice. Carpenter is going to pitch tommorow... and the Rangers are going with a guy who was shellacked in game 3.
you know what i thought early on...let holland close the game out. i thought he was getting it done and had good stuff. he had zip on the ball. but, wash went pen in the 8th and rangers relief just didn't get it done obviously.
Wow...what a game. The Cards simply won't go away. I think they win this thing tomorrow. There, I jinxed them.
That's sports. I mean it's not like we got swept 4-0 like that team in 2005. Carpenter can choke tomorrow night or he can be great. Harrison can choke or he can do great. You never know. By the way, how's your team doing?
Nah... Feliz had a shot to close it out, but the Cards hitters were game. He was one strike away, and had knee-buckling stuff...but gives up a double to Pujols and walks Berkman (which is not all bad). Freese hits a ball that could have been caught, but he did hit it pretty hard... but Feliz certainly didn't "choke". Rangers BEST chance to win it was in the 10th... when Cards had the bottom of the order up and Washington brings in a soft-tossing journeyman lefty to try to close it. Schiraldi all over again.
I have no dogs in this fight and I have to admit I was excited for Berkman when he delivered the game-tying hit. I feel for Rangers fan....though I don't feel too bad for Dallas fan because their sports teams are winning everything. Lol. I'm thrilled it's going 7! Should be fun!!
I love Mark Lowe to the hilt but I told a bunch of folks as soon as I saw him warming up that it was over. He wouldn't leave the inning unscathed. Mark is a dope guy but he's been an ATROCIOUS pitcher the past couple of seasons. Wash made some HORRIBLE decisions today and in the pitching realm, taking off Nefti for Darren Oliver was only 2nd to the decision he made prior to the WS. Wash's biggest mistake was dropping Uehara from the WS roster for Lowe. Uehara at his worst right now would provide more than Lowe. Wash better not look Nolan in the face tonight or he might get to experience what the five fingers say.
Believe me, if my team was choking away a chance to win it all... twice... I wouldn't be here right now. Ah, but I guess that's the life of bandwagoners... you can just take a loss like that and laugh it up.
