Kudos to the Rangers.... could have just been demoralized by that triple, but just went about their business and continued to hit. Also, Feliz will still get to pitch and will likely be able to close it out now. Had they gone one more inning, Feliz would not be available to close.
You fail to realize the oh **** moment. This ball is ripped. If he'd have made that play he'd be an instant legend.
Now that HR was epic. That tie certainly didn't last long. A lot of epicness going on this game. This is awesome!
The only possible benefit of Houston moving into the Rangers division.... is that they will have a model franchise that they need to try to emulate. It will be even more obvious year after year how far behind they are if they don't step it up all around (player development, smart spending, and still healthy overall spending).
What is it with all this "go rangers...WE got this?" if you didn't grow up a rangers fan, please don't refer to them as your team. Bandwagoners.
Am I the only one that wouldn't give up an out here? Oliver is a soft-tossing lefty that gives up fly balls, and you're down by two runs. You bunt the guys over, Rangers walk whoever the next guy is, and then you have the exact same situation you have now (double-play in order) but with 1 out instead of none. Ah well... its still NL baseball at its best. EDIT: NM... you bunt in that situation because its the bottom of the order. Had they been in the Theriot-Pujols range, no way do they bunt there because Pujols definitely gets walked.
That's what happens when you think Darren Oliver can close out a championship for you. That could be the Schiraldi-type move of this series if the Cards win this.
