alanhahn Alan Hahn We've passed last week's 2 am curfew. Expect it to wrap for the night soon...but will either side comment? KBergCBS Ken Berger Things should be wrapping up for the night shortly, source says. We're into hour 14. Stay tuned.
Like I said in my previous post. I don't think anyone's goal is to make every team a contender AT THE SAME TIME. It never happens in any sport. Plenty of small market teams got superstars. The The Wolves got KG. The Bucks got a big three for a time. The Nuggets got Melo. The Jazz got DWill. The Hornets got Paul. The Cavs got LeBron. The Sonics got Durant. They just couldn't get enough good players around these guys to contend.
Listening to Fisher speak now... certainly there is a reduced tone (no anger, accusations, etc.) and he mentioned some progress made on some of the system issues. Doesn't sound like major progress, but perhaps a decent step.
Hunter just said BRI was not discussed at all today. He also said if they get a deal done by Sunday or Monday that an 82-game schedule is still possible (that cracks me up).
Didn't sound that bad. But I have a bad feeling it's all going to be shot to hell once they touch BRI.
Stern sounds a little too giddy. "We hope to use tomorrow's session to continue to build upon the progress we made today," said Stern. "The energy has been good. The back-and-forth has been good, and we're looking forward to tomorrow."
Stern sounds cheerful...said they did such a great job today they're going to do it again tomorrow...
"The energy in the room has been good. The back and forth has been good and we're looking forward to tomorrow." Sounds way too good to be true...
WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Despite NBA, NBPA downplaying expectations, "significant progress" has been made toward agreement on system issues, sources tell Y! Sports. Hmmm...
Seriously. 82 Rocket games crammed together? It would be beautiful. We might suck, but who cares if the young guys are getting some run right?
