Im saying he would be better than Mason and put Jacoby on returns, i agree though this management would never take a chance. Look at Moss nobody wanted him either and T.O. Knows that could happen to him as well. Face it really this is his last shot at a contract, why let the Titans or the Raiders get him? We obviously need help at the position and since Manning is out, we need a kick returner and who better than Jacoby? ......Slayton? ..... Holiday?

Bring him in.... Bring him along slowly. Start him after the bye week..... Simple.

Teams like Redskins and Titans know he will be a cancer to the locker room because they aren't good... Through all the bravado and b****fits, the guy just wants to win... Sure he's had his chances in Philly and Dallas but he's been on his best behavior(by T.O's standards) since... Teams like San Diego, Jets, and Bears should really take interest... The window of opportunities may be closing shortly , so why not go all-in... The Redskins would just boost ratings for his show... His thoughts on Grossman, Shanahan's thoughts on him, and visits to Philly or Dallas would be must-see TV... But not in a good way for the organization

Agreed......i would have taken VY and Rashard Lewis. VY is a winner and Rashard was passed up three times by the Rox.

That's why we signed Johnathon Joseph, Danieal Manning, and dedicated our draft to defense, because winning doesn't come first? The guy is 37 and tore his ACL in JUNE and had 2 knee operations after that. Nobody is touching this guy except for an arena league team to put fans in the seats.

Remember Randy Moss last year, everyone was saying we have to put a claim in for him and if we didn't it was "the Texans don't care about winning" or "Bob doesn't spend money". Look at how that turned out.

And if you want to bring him now and bring him along slowly, we would have to cut someone that plays special teams and move a starter over to that spot. TO isn't going to play that role, and we aren't going to cut a WR because our only healthy ones would be Walter, Jones, Mason, and the other Johnson.

    TO has never won anything......ANYTHING.....

If he was a guy that could lead a team, I would be all over it, but his production is not any better than the guys on the roster now.

What is it with Lockerrooms. . .that 1 guy can screw them up?
Are Football lockerrooms seriously that fragile?
I have worked in companies were there are 5 T.O. types per normal

Because there's going to be 5x more media in the locker room after every game. He'll have something to say about every little thing that he did not like in the gameplan. He didn't get enough looks, snaps, they ran the ball too much, etc. It's gonna sew seeds of distrust in the locker room of a coach that feeds off of his guys trusting him.

And all that for who knows what kind of numbers he can produce. He's 37 and just had his knee surgically reassembled. He had to go to Asia for some crazy blood treatment. 2011 Owens =/= 2010 Owens

huh? what does that even mean? he's won playoff games. a terrible, meaningless point, but one that refutes your even worse won. he's played in a superbowl. texans have never done either.

who the hell cares what a receiver has won? andre johnson has never even made the playoffs. we need to cut him STAT!

They resigned Jacoby, Anderson twice i think and then cut him again, signed Johnson who was coming off of an injury, and now Mason. We are desperate for a receiver that has somthing to prove, he's the guy. Is there another player on this team that is even remotely close to AJ's talent? Are you pissed that St Louis got Loyd and we wouldnt give up a pick, is that the winning mentality that you speak of? You have to be aggressive in this league, T.O. didn't have issues in Cincy or Buffalo that i am aware of, he knows he is at the end of the line. But physically speaking, the guy is a freak of nature and heals like Andre? didn't Andre tear his hamstring and supposedly playing this week? Physically these guys are both comparible, is it inconceivable that he could be healthy like Andre?

TO is 7 years older and had a significantly more serious injury than Andre that usually takes 6-9 months to recover from. From what I read TO's ACL surgery was in late June so that would mean he's 4 months out. If he hadn't had the surgery it would make more sense but the fact that he's rushing to get back on the field to squeeze one more season is a recipe for disaster for that knee. How is it going to hold up making cut after cut? Here's an additional comment I found in the comment section from PFT..

I don't know why people keep making this a chemistry issure. THE GUY CAN'T RUN ROUTES! He also probably won't bother blocking on any run player either.

Say what you want about Mason or Walter lack of talent compared to TO. At least they execute their blocks in the run game and they run proper routes for Kubiak's west coast passing game. They'll be where they're suppose to be for Schaub to find them. They are most definitely going to be more productive than TO can be.

I don't dislike Owens. Actually found a lot of his antics funny. But he ain't that good anymore. And whatever skillset he does have left is horrible for this team. It's one thing to gamble on a hugely talented player with chemistry issues. It's another to gamble on a 37yr old guy coming off major surgery who doesn't fit the offense at all. The latter is just stupid.

Yeah, let's criticize the Texans for being 1 of THIRTY TWO TEAMS that have no interest in a washed up injured TO.
