Chelsea 1 point behind Man Utd. After a hot start Man U has been anything but for the last two games. Chelsea on the otherhand look better after every game.

Yeah just saw the game. City are the top team in England, I don't think there is any doubt about it. United's defense and midfield are mediocre, they need some fresh blood.

And Bayern dominated them and beat them easily.

Agreed. Bayern looked like a well oiled machine, I was very impressed by them. Though City did play very well for most of the first half, after Bayern scored it was all them. Having said that, I do think City are coming together as a team, their roster is coming together. I think this second meeting with Bayern will be a much better reading as to where City stands relative to the top tier teams in Europe.

Were Chelsea seriously down to 8 men today vs QPR? Says they were given two red cards in the first half and had like 8 yellows.

Damn, could have been 2nd if not for that. We're those penalties legit or bs?

They were down to 9 I believe, and still nearly came back, QPR was not being aggressive at all with a 2 man advantage, they should have pushed on the gas and buried Chelsea, but I think they were happy just to be leading, and it almost cost them 2 points.

Mate, as much as I DISLIKE City, they have one of if not the deepest teams in the Premiership. They are deeper than United.
The only hope is that Tevez gets no good offers in the Winter and he stays on and systematically wreaks havoc within that turd of a team.

And I believe they will do the same again in the return and I feel Bayern would dispense a similar beating to United.

I think City will be a scary team to meet in the Champions League next season. The boys would've had more time to gel. Bayern is my favorite team outside the PL, though... I'm happy for them. I wish LFC could steal some of their players.

Unfortunately City has Tevez and Dejong in their team, or else I might actually be happy for them. They're just deadly from every spot. Anyone from the midfield-up can score.

I wonder what's gonna happen in the future of soccer with more and more oil-billionaires owning teams. Now more and more teams can buy multiple superstars that would make Miami Heat blush.

i still think their defence is a weak spot for city, and they may be deep but but still think they will suffer from not having experienced so many games getting thrown at them ala villa a couple years ago. not saying they will drop out of top 4 but they will suffer a dip in form, as form is not permanent and i have to admit they are in scintillating form as of right now

I agree with your assessment of their defense, though I think Richards this year and Kompany for the last two years have been playing at an elite level. On the other hand Lescott and Korolev have been just above average. Lescott is the better defender whereas Korolev is known for his offense. Though bringing in Clichy has made up for Korolev's deficiencies. In my opinion they just need someone to replace Lescott at the CB position to become an elite defense.

It's unfortunate that Toure wants out. He's far better than Lescott, but I assume Mancini doesn't want to mess up the chemistry in the back. That drug test thing was bogus.
