Decent episode. Other than a certain character who should be dead by now, they're following the comics pretty well this season.
Why did T-Dog become a dick? I also missed the first 5 minutes. What's the reasoning behind Carl getting shot? Accidental?
Well, I think he was hallucinating from his fever? Because when he and the old guy (forgot his name) were talking next to the RV he was saying "let's take the RV and leave them" and the old guy touched his forehead. Idk, do people hallucinate when they are sick? Maybe when you body becomes extremely hot? (Like being in the desert) He got shot by a big guy hunting the buck. The bullet went through the buck and hit Carl.
Anyone else catch the possible nod to Breaking Bad? Spoiler The crystal meth in the bottom of Meryl's drug bag was blue, just like Walt's special formula. Both shows are on AMC, so...
Better than episode 1. Still, a few bones to pick... Cops would have basic first aid and would have applied pressure to the wound immediately. The first thing you do is try to stop the bleeding. You don't run a kid a mile across open ground without making an attempt at stopping the bleeding. Also, what was the deal with the buddy and good ol' southern boy Otis screwing up the trailer? "Hey, I've got an idea... let's figure out how to get into the trailer but not worry about how to get out because there are only a few hundred walkers out there and you, Otis, look like you're in really good shape so let's just make a run for it." Seems like Otis would have been the one to sneak into the trailer since he knew what to look for and then buddy cop guy creates a second diversion to get Otis out and to the pickup, then Otis picks buddy cop guy up with the truck. Simple and effective. But Noooooooooo! Then of course, why do they just stay there as the walkers crash into the school gate? even if you're out of breath, you can start walking. Also, why not shoot some of the walkers in front to make it difficult for others to get to the gate and push on it? Pile a bunch of bodies up around it and it lessens the pressure on the gate and may buy you a bit more time.
How good is this show? Is it just entertaining or is it actually a quality show like Breaking Bad/The Wire?
Not even close. It's just a decent show that happens to be about zombies, which makes it seem better than it really is.
Not really but it's still entertaining. I'd say it's 2nd tier of shows on at the moment after Boardwalk Empire and Homeland. Not including Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones because they're not airing currently.
Didn't like this episode. Felt like an hour went by and not much actually happened. The story with the kid was just too long for me. Everytime I hear them say Carl's name I think of the Nationwide commercial where the guy "vanishes" to demonstrate to "Carl" how Nationwide's vanishing deductible works. Spoilers: Spoiler 1. I can't believe another episode went by without resolving missing little girl issue. I really hope she is not a major plot point going forward. Either she just shows up in a 2 second reunion scene or we just stop worrying about her. 2. TBag has the zombieitis? That would be good to develop and would make sense. Would be interesting if they could get sick without getting bit. The whole thing with the trailer was dumb. I'm with you Rocker, how in the world is that the best plan they came up with? Let's get INTO the trailer surrounded by deadly flesh eating zombies and worry about how to get out later! Yeah right. Even dumb country bumpkin would have thought better of that. Also, again agree with you Rim, how did neither cop or the hunter no anything about basic first aid and run however far they did without putting anything over that wound? The kid was just bleeding out the entire run? LOL At least Rick has managed to keep his little hat.
This episode should have been called Tim Tebow, because it started horrible but finished strong. Spoiler Too many subplots, too much talking, not enough zombies. And they might as well start calling the Asian kid Chop Chop. It's like White guy: "go do this" Asian: "me, why always me?" White guy: "because you're Asian and I'm White" Asian: "Oh yeah, I forgot. OK, I'll go do it."
If you really want to know: Spoiler Shane died in the 2nd issue of the series. It appears they've omitted a fan favorite named Tyreese and elected to have all of his storylines fall to Shane.
that's awesome. I even remember him saying that and I couldn't make out what he mumbled. I was going to rewind but let it go. that's awesome.
when he is running across the field, the kid does have a belt wrapped around his chest. I'm guessing that was supposed to apply pressure. I agree about the trailer though. That was pretty stupid. The Breaking bad reference was awesome.
