probably just my age but i've always found dubstep a bit cheap. i mean some of the beats are dirty and sick but then it's mixed with fluffy gay 1990's trance synth chord progressions or not creative in any sense as far as "remixing" a pop song. (dubstep bass n beat repeated for 2 minutes then chorus of pop song for 10-30 seconds then bring back bass n beat for 2 minutes)

then again im old so maybe it's just too hip for me but i was into moving shadow and dark dnb before. i see where it can become something good but as of now it seems a bit fisher price. IMO

 

Some of dubstep artists blow lol, which is why I stick more with house and other electronica

 

Count me in on the Skrillex bandwagon. Not pure DS, but enough to mention.

Are you older than 16? If so you shouldn't beat yourself up. Dubstep is most definitely teen angst type music, stuff that doesn't convey true emotion or sound but rather the melancholy of floating in the abyss and not having a clue as to what's next. Just preys on the insecurities of people who don't know what they want - in life or out of music.

 

Shouldn't you be preparing for your second marriage instead of making snarky one liners on a message board? Also, are you 25 yet?
