Not until he's out of the office. Your kind was quite happy defending him while he was in power. Now he some kind of RINO proving that the Teabagger position is right.

Steve Jobs criticising Obama is no "man bites dog" story. Steve Jobs criticising anybody is pretty much a "Manny being Manny" story.

That's half true (if memory serves). The Tea Party in it's original Ron Paul-inspired form was a bona-fide populist reaction to Bush and was quite critical. But it was also much smaller.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't until Obama's inauguration that it became co-opted and became an echo chamber for neo-con sentiments.

Standing on the Senate floor and criticizing the President's supported economic plan does not equate to criticizing the president's economic policy?

Pretty much. The Paulistas are consistent. Most of the other so call Tea Party types, though, sure were not marching on Washington against "Compassionate Conservatism" during the Bush years.

Just because Jobs had an eye for computers and design doesn't mean he knew **it about how to have a just society. BTW I never heard of Jobs having the social consicence of say Bill Gates.

Did Jobs ever do much for societal problems.

He ran a major business which means he probably had a good grasp on the effects of government legislation on businesses.

Wouldn't the capitalist leader of a major corporation usually believe that a President would push too many regulations?...

No, it means he knew how he could make his business more profitable.

Factory legislation is too rigid so he opens in China......Obama should have charged a tarrif on all imported goods...

You criticize the president all the time of being too anti-business?

The Presidents job is not to be pro or anti business, it is to be pro american citizens.

I never said the president's job was to be pro- or anti-business, only that it was unusual to see a liberal criticizing a Democrat president for being too anti-business. Most of the complaints about Obama I have seen from the left on this board for example are that he is too pro-business.

Knowing how to make a business profitable (especially a large one) requires knowing government legislation and how it will affect your business. I would guess just about every business degree would have a course on such a topic. Many businesses spend large portions of their time/money figuring out how to cope with government regulation.

It is not about the companies that do succeed, it is about the ones that can't get off the ground due to the cost of regulation (you wouldn't hear about them). Crony capitalism is a great way for big companies to hinder all smaller competition with one punch.

"Anti Business" = forcing powerful corporations to obey the same laws as everyone else.
