Now, not so excited.:( Why get excited when you won't see them play for an entire season, if at all?

I am happy as long as I dont see any of the 2009 rejects see floor time. D-Mo and Parsons too.

    Lowry/Dragic
    Lee/?????
    ?????/Bud
    Pat/Hayes
    ????/????

The primary intent for the season should be to groom the 6 guys mentioned above to be the support network for the stars we are chasing. They would be perfect if we were to land another YAO and TMAC combo. Therefore focus on giving them room to grow and develop. Why experiment with the 2009 rejects when they already proven to be failures?

Try fill in the gaps by trading Martin and Scola or from FA market. No need to fill those gaps by experimenting from the 2009 rejects and losing games.

This way we are competing and rebuilding at the same time.

Please show how the 2009 draftees are failures. I don't think you can, but please try.

Flynn had a decent rookie season, since then Flynn has had bad luck, so I'll spare him. Though T-Will T-Will has shown the potential to be more than a role player - he has FAILED to impress both coaches for both teams and has yet establish a role for himself.

I think these two compliment each other perfectly if a rebuilding team was looking for a back court. T-Will can play SG and do the most of the ball handling play making while Flynn who is more of a SG than PG can be himself and look to score first. They are both horrible shooters though, something they will need to improve. We just dont need them on our team, we are already set with Lowry and Lee.

Hill has given plenty of chances but has been unable to justify being 8th pick, he has FAILED to make progress from the opportunities given to him during the last two seasons. Unlike Flynn and T-Will he hasnt even shown any potential. He had two good games the entire season, he shut down Gasol and another good player who I cant remember. He hasnt been able to produce anything remotely close to that level ever again. Hill gets some offensive rebounds and putbacks/dunks, thats it, thats all he can do. But he doesnt even do that consistently. The only thing he manages consistently is fouling, but he cant even foul properly because half the time he ends up giving away and 1s. There is nothing Hill does that a Melvyn Ely or a DJ White cant do.

Thabeet - do I even need to bother. Thabeet=FAIL/BUST.

We are doomed if we are forced to play Thabeet or Hill at the 5. Can you think of one other team that would let them play the 5? T-Will is too small for the 3, plus he cant shoot, his game is like YANG (ball stopping) to our YIN (ball movement). AND he has a bad attitude. Why bother? I would rather give his minutes to Morris. Dont need Flynn, because we are set at the PG with Lowry and Dragic.

Bud has played better than T-Will, Hill and Thabbet combined. If we were to go by their standards, Bud should have been the number 1 pick.

I agree with some of the points you made, but not all.

I agree with you about not really needing Flynn and about T-Will having a bad attitude. Look at it this way. Lowry and Dragic have shown that they can both play SF if needed. Maybe if they wanted to play small ball they could use Flynn at the point.

T-Will's attitude can be contributed to the 2 coaches (Avery, Ricks) style of coaching. No nonsense type guys. I think him sitting out for almost an entire season has made him see the error of his ways. He has been working on his shot all offseason and has gotten better. Like i mentioned a week ago, if he could get his shooting percentage to at least 44-45%, he will be a beast. Iguodala-like.

I don't agree about Hill and Thabeet. Hill, in his 2 seasons has shown gradual improvement. His problem is he should not be playing the 5. He is a natural 4.
Thabeet just needs time on the court. He will come along. He is with the best team at this time in his career when he needs to step up his game. We don't need Thabeet to be a superstar center. He is only seen as a bust because he was drafted too high. If he had been drafted 14th, he wouldn't recieve some much scrutiny. Personally, i think they will all have good seasons where ever they play, if we ever get the season started.

In all, getting these players was a good investment on Moreys part.

I dont think we ever played that small did we? I can remember Dragic (6'4) playing the 2 and Lee (6'5) playing at 3 when we played small. But did Aldeman really play Dragic and Lowry at SF when playing small?

I think we can mutually agree to disagree on Hill and Thabeet. I like everything else you said.

lol...same here. been a fan since the early 90's and for the first time in about 20 years i couldn't care less. of course i still love the rockets, but this team has been one of the worst in the nba for about 15 years now. can't even name the five starters.

Is it just me or is anybody else sick of the people saying they aren't excited about the rockets?

I guess it's just me being a die hard fan that no matter the record or staying mediocre, I still look forward to watching them every season. I just love the game too much.
