Deron Williams is playing like a complete scrub in levels lower than the Euroleague. Everything you claim is wrong and untrue.
NBA = Premier League + the other 4 leagues(Spain, German, Italy, France) Euroleague = Russian leagues, Netherlands, Possibly Belgium + Scotland D-League = MLS, Czech League, Poland league, Japan/Korea league, etc.
Wrong. NBA = Champions League (MAYBE if you are being extremely generous) Euroleague = La Liga or Premiere League (and this is being harsh on the Euroleague) I am talking about in terms of the level of the competition, not in the fact of international vs. domestic. The Euroleague is universally considered at least the #2 basketball league in the world. So it cannot be put in the same class as 10-20 best soccer leagues. That makes absolutely no sense at all. Universally regarded as at least the #2 basketball league means it equates to Spanish or English soccer leagues (as they are considered the second best soccer leagues).
NBA = Champions League Finals and Semis equals World Cup Euro League = CL Group Stage and Quarterfinals equals European Cup In terms of competition I try close the gap
Adam Morrison does not play in the Euroleague. He plays in the much lower Adriatic League. Much lower level than Euroleague. The team with the highest budget in Adriatic League, has the third lowest budget in Euroleague. The team with the second highest budget in Adriatic League has the second lowest budget in Euroleague. And another Adriatic club has the lowest budget in Euroleague. Morrison himself does not even play on a Euroleague team, and not even on a second tier Eurocup team. Besides that, he also had a 3 point game in the Adriatic League. You are right, great stuff there.
BTW, Maarty Leunen had an awful first Euroleague game. It was his first time ever playing at a level as high as the Euroleague, so maybe that affected him, or maybe it was just a bad game. But he played very bad in his Euroleague debut. http://www.euroleague.net/main/results/showgame?clubcode=CTU&gamecode=1&seasoncode=e2011
I was hoping he would have been already playing at that level by now. He showed some potential during his 1st two summer leagues. I guess progress has been slow.
He led his team in minutes and rebounds and was second in assists. Oh, and his team won btw. I admit he shot the ball poorly but apparently the coach thought he should be in the game and he was right.
EUROLEAGUE STAT LEADERS http://www.euroleague.net/main/statistics/individual/average?seasoncode=E2011 Check out the "Euroleague" leaders. This is a who's who of guys that couldn't make it in the NBA.
Yeah, 1-11 fromthe field. You are right, he was doing great for his team. And they won at home against Nancy. Big deal. Nancy is a French League team. All the teams from France are awful.
Every single year the NBA drafts players from Europe that are not good enough to make it in the Euroleague. Every single year.
