I feel like this is a pretty rough stretch for Tennessee:

Sun 11/20 at Atlanta 1:00 pm
Sun 11/27 Tampa Bay 1:00 pm
Sun 12/4 at Buffalo 1:00 pm
Sun 12/11 New Orleans 1:00 pm

The closest thing we have to that 4-game stretch would probably be:

Sun 11/13 at Tampa Bay 1:00 pm
    Bye
Sun 11/27 at Jacksonville 1:00 pm
    Sun 12/4 Atlanta 1:00 pm
Sun 12/11 at Cincinnati 1:00 pm

I do agree the Titans would be in the driver's seat with a win Sunday. In fact, with a loss by us, the Titans could easily reel off 3 more wins (IND, CIN, @CAR) to be 7-2, while we could be 5-5 at that same point (JAX, CLE, @TAM).

However, this is probably the only game within the division that should be losable. I just can't see us going undefeated in the division, but I'm chalking up a win on New Year's. So even with a loss Sunday, only having to make up a game with over half of the season remaining (assuming we win on New Year's) doesn't portend "doom" to me. A large part of me knows assumptions are silly to make with this franchise, but if we can't get that game on NYD I don't think we deserve the division, anyway.

Both Andre and Casey were held out of practice again today... sigh.

Kubiak said CB Kareem Jackson had an excellent practice today. He and Jason Allen will continue to rotate

If lucky, AJ is back for the Jax game but I have a feeling he won't be back until Cleveland.

Casey...he got a pretty bad tear so I'm not sure if he will be back until after the bye. TB game at best, imo

You know....Jason Allen really isn't much better than KJ. He gets abused just as often as KJ, but he's no where near the lightning rod KJ is.

It's a testament to Wade's defense that we're #10 in the league in total defense with the crap we have at CB. Especially when you consider that we've already played the Saints.

Earlier this week, Kubiak said Casey was probably closer to returning than Andre, while at the same time saying Andre might get to practice before the end of the week. That had me pretty optimistic about James.

i hadn't heard that about casey. I was expecting it to be a solid 5 week recovery because of the severity of the strain

Geez. Kareem has had more "excellent" practices than anyone on the team in the last two years.

    *Cue Allen Iverson*

unless KJ shaved a tenth of a second off his 40 time, i'm not holding my breath.

But all kidding aside, i did think he had a decent game last week. And by decent i mean i only cursed at him 3 times.

did he learn to turn around yet?

I swear, the kid is a slower, clumsier, stupider Jaque Reeves.

allen makes plays on the ball...kareem doesn't. also, acquiring allen didn't involve spending a first round draft pick.

Must win game, no excuses. I don't want to hear about Mario. I don't wanna hear about AJ. I don't
    care. Get. It. Done.

That was probably the 3 times Flacco threw directly at Kareem though...

Oh, I get that. I'm just saying the people screaming for Jason Allen should be careful what they wish for.

I wish we would've signed another competent CB instead of re-signing Jacoby. That was our only mistake this offseason IMO.

The long pass Kareem got burned on wasn't even a catch. He had a decent game if you take that one catch out of the equation.

    If AJ misses this game
I personally don't think we need him for the next two
Maybe some reps in the second game
just to get him back to 'game shape'

continuing my kubiak punching. . . resigning Jacoby was probably a Kubiak Call

the man got by him. he was burned. whether the guy dropped the ball or not, he didn't do his job on the play.

Neither did Manning. On that play or the long Boldin catch Joseph gave up.

had he stayed with his man, he still wouldn't have made a play on the ball.

I'm telling you: a deep ball will bounce off the back or top of Creamed Jackson's helmet three times before he ever gets an INT or a PD on one.
