I think you just hate the people of Dallas. That has nothing to do with The Rangers who have come from nothing and didn't buy they're greatness. True American success story:grin:
i would root for the planes to collide midair with large pieces of the wreckage hitting cowboy stadium, arlington field and american airlines arena. edit: and jason terry's house
That is one of the most disgusting things I have ever read on this board. And I can't stand Dallas teams. Even joking about something like that is just such an a__hole thing to do. Truly despicable- and the best proof yet that people take sports way too seriously.
I actually grew up a rangers fan along with the astros... I loved those mid 90's rangers teams. I'd rather the rangers win but I wouldn't mind seeing Berkman get a ring either.
what a crappy game...Berkan's "Single" did us in and then in the 9th, Beltre clearly hit his foot and which should have been a foul ball and they called him out... Of course, that didn't hide the fact that Cruz couldn't make the play...albeit a tough catch, at least he blocked it...Young has sucked except for a couple of games and Josh is playing with a bad groin... I didn't like Wash's using Gentry and that other guy pinch hit (hasn't batted all postseason!)...I would've let Murphy hit then pinch hit for Ogando, but what the hell do I know... I expect the Rangers to win tonight...
can't believe they blew that Beltre call...it was pretty obvious based off of his reaction. Also, Cruz did get lucky to block that ball but i can't help but feel he didn't really go all out on that ball, i.e. lay out for it completely. NO, that's obviously risky but I thought he could have had that ball.
on MLB Network they said that even with replay, they likely wouldn't have overturned it because the video wasn't conclusive. it was really close.
Agreed...I didn't think he was going all out, full speed to try and stab it... As for the Beltre non-call, that was just pathetic...I thought it hit him by his reaction...
The Rangers got a couple of calls in that huge inning in game 6 of ALCS. It wouldn't have mattered anyway. Nobody is hitting the Cards' closer.
Yep, because everyone that acts like they got hit really did. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WtmALJbrgE4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I'm not saying he didn't, but from the umpire's standpoint, if he didn't think it hit him then he isn't going to call it.
not really the same scenario, at all. The ball was hit into play, do you think that he thought "oh crap, it's a chopper to third, quick...act like the ball bounced off my foot and don't run to first". Hell, i don't even think he watched where the ball went. And yes, the umpire should call what he thinks happened. Unfortunately, he wasnt thinking right.
It was obvious he got hit, just a missed/blown call. Wouldn't expect that in the freaking World Series, but what the hell... I think we got it tonight. Colby's gonna step up and we'll squeeze by.
richardjustice Richard Justice Cardinals were 71-52 when the opponent started a righthander during the regular season. They're 6-2 vs. right-handed starters in postseason richardjustice Richard Justice Only 11 teams have rallied from an 0-2 deficit to win the World Series. In the last 20 year, only the 1996 Yankees have done it.
you're right...neither of us know, but you were the one that made it a point to say that "it wouldn't have mattered anyway"
there are plenty of "unstoppable" closers who all of a sudden started giving up dingers left and right.
