Meh, too much headache. Will sit back and see what problems people are having with this Alpha before or if I want to install it.
Yup, there's going to be bugs so it may not be stable lol. At least progress is looking good after a month.
Gonna wait till the nightlies come in. Can't wait though. Apparently it's as usuable as CM7 is on the Nook Color (considering how long that thing's had it, quite a feat).
And here is another video, pretty funny actually. <object width="640" height="360"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9XDmKGmn4vs&rel=0&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9XDmKGmn4vs&rel=0&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></embed></object>
That was pretty funny. CowboyBebop's accent is getting much better, too. I like that they're calling it the "LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS" edition.
This is from a couple of days ago, but it made me laugh. From the Google Code Project issue list: http://code.google.com/p/cmtouchpad/issues/detail?id=60 I like the "Got 8 hours of sleep. Marking this as done" comment. (yes, I was following the updates from this list ). Haven't had a chance to check it out (might do this over the weekend), but looks good. The devs seemed to do a great job in a short amount of time. Looking forward to their future work too.
The CM7 release is still alpha. I'm going to wait till at least 1 stable release is out before installing it... I hate bugs.
Did all the research and finally install it. One of the easiest installation that I have ever encounter for an OS. Well it's time to learn how to use Android.
Hehe...ironically, there was a post today (with video) in the RootzWiki forum from a user talking about how his mother's TouchPad was having problems. He checks it out...and it turns out to be running Android (apparently one of the few with the Qualcomm build). The guy wanted to know how to reset the TouchPad since he didn't know the gesture to get the screen unlocked. Needless to say, the devs seem very interested ("PLEASE DO NOT RESTORE THIS DEVICE!"). I haven't followed that story too much, but kind of interesting. I'm thinking I might actually try this out tonight...
Just a warning. If you installing Cyanogenmod on it make sure you back up your stuff because it will delete all the extra folders you have created for WebOS. So may be try moving all your created folders into the DCIM folder and see what happen.
I just realized I can finally play Game Dev Story. So good. (except I'm busy playing Dark Souls...also so good.)
There's a fix out there for the Market that will allow all apps to show up (by default, some are being filtered out). Just going to link to a rootzwiki thread that has some instructions plus the file: http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?7809-How-to-Install-Google-Market-amp-Apps-on-CM7-Alpha-TouchPad Also explains how to install some other things (e.g., Google Maps).
Anyone good with computers? I got a file i want to copy and paste over. It's a crack for a video game. But, a message pops up telling me i need permission to do so. I am the admin on it. So why the heck cant i have control of my own damn computer without telling me what i can't do? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JAsp4rn9QnM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Dude, there's a COMPUTER HELP thread every other day. Browse through the forum and post in those threads. To answer your question, it's probably a virus.
