A word from my favorite negro website..... cause for concern? http://www.bet.com/news/sports/2011/10/18/texans-missing-receiver-andre-johnson.html?ftcnt=HP_News
For the record, I'm not okay with it. Did you read any of my posts last year? I'm just not ready to completely write off the season because we're 3-3. Honestly, does that seem rational?
Only current player from Georgia Southern, and he happens to play on my favorite team. He was part of the 6th National Championship in the school's history.
Did I name you? Because I'm pretty sure I didn't and wasn't thinking of you when posting that. I don't care if we're 3-3, 4-2, or 2-4. I care about seeing the same sad sack routine of coughing up second half leads and fizzling out when the game is on the line. Redskins comeback aside, this band has made an art form of finding ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I can take the losing when a team doesn't have the pieces to contend (Rockets). It drives me batty to watch a group constantly play beneath itself. They've got the talent to be a serious playoff squad, but the will and mentality of a powder puff crew.
I was listening to that turd Dylan Gwinn for all of a few minutes a couple of nights ago, and he made a good point. The Ravens were at home coming off of a bye. We didn't have AJ or Mario. Nobody in their right mind would have predicted a W for this game in August had we known they would be out. The Ravens would have been favored over any team in the AFC for this game. It doesn't excuse it, because we lost in all too familiar fashion and at some point we're going to have to win those kinds of games to take the next step. And it doesn't excuse the Raiders loss which could absolutely come back to haunt us. But let's save the meltdowns for next week (if we lose).
does not compute. But yeah, i agree that the Baltimore game was pretty much a loss at the start of the season, as well as the Saints. True, at some point they need to start winning these types of game to be legit contenders. The raiders was very disappointing but i'd imagine many thought the steelers in town was going to be a loss. At the start of the season, looking at the schedule, most would be "ok" with 3-3. It's just a shame 4-2 was such a tease
Except I was listening to Dylan, himself, telling me how the Texas were going to win this game on Friday afternoon before the game. That even without AJ, we were going to win the game.
Was going to post the same thing. They're not the Ravens, but they're not chopped liver. We couldn't even beat them in Tennessee last year when they were completely sucking nuts. They went 1-8 in their last 9. We were the 1 win. Mario was out for that game as well.
Pretty much exactly how I feel right now. I can't find the prediction thread, but I remember a lot of the people here predicting 10 or 11 wins had us at 3-3 at this point and just had the steeler and raider results switched around. I'd love to be 5-1 or even 4-2 right now, but there's a lot of season left. Now, with that being said, if we lose the game this week, this will be me: Spoiler
God, I hate that turd Cortland Finnegan. I just wanna see someone lay his ass out. Please win this game Texans, I'll love you so much more than I already do!
Division games are never easy but I am fully expecting a win in this one (hence the commencement of meltdown mode if we lose). They may be at home, coming off of a bye, and we may not have AJ and Mario, but that's where the similarities to the Ravens game stop. The Ravens defense is light years better than Tennessee. Their front seven is laughable compared to the Ravens. They gave up five freaking TDs to that duct tape o-line that the Steelers have. The only thing that could keep us from putting up >28 might be the voices inside Kubiak's head (i.e. out-stupiding himself a-la the Colts game last year). They have nothing close to the receivers we've faced and they can't run the ball. I was going to knock on their schedule -- only one impressive win, loss to the pathetic Jags -- but we don't have much to brag about except that we haven't been blown out and don't have a pathetic loss.
before pre Dre azzkickin, his perception was he was pretty decent.. Now folks see him as a fake tough guy who cant cover worth a damn...
SMH..shouldnt come down to folks beggin for a win... they should be able to handle it ... But a lil prayer aint never hurt anybody!!!
