I'm not sure what he means, but it is a 12 team league, with plenty of bench spots. Hard to do much on the waiver wire after Week 1.
12 team league brah. 2 wr 2 rb 2 flex brah. 5 bench spots brah. This league ain't for some amateur cooch sniffers. I'm ruxin, having babies with sweet broads and winnininininnnnnnnggghhhhhhhhggggg
My 12 team league has 6 bench spots and plenty of good pickups have been made. I don't think Hillis was drafted last year. Decker is a nice pickup. Nelson. Vick last year. Hernandez was dropped early on. Those guys could have saved seasons. Heck, a lot of injuries can save a season for someone else.
Ya, but when you play with dudes who do their homework in a deep league a lot of juicy handcuffs and tasty sleepers fly off the board in the final rounds.
I doubt Hillis or Vick was drafted last year in this league of fantasy stalwarts. If so it was pure dumb luck.
Ya'll are lamenting 12 team leagues with 5 bench spots? Good grief. I have a 14 team league to contend with with 10 starters and count em 9 bench players, and no trading. Can you say stuck like chuck? Our biggest waiver wire pick up? Eric Decker. A guy did drop Pierre Garcon, and he was picked up the next week. But I'm playing in a national game, where the big boys play.
F it I'm out then. Moes, what's up with them draft picks? If I trade for one I better get it next year for my back2back title run.
I was thinking of going to a keeper league but I'm gonna wait until next year so I can get Rodgers first.
We're basically past the regular season (fantasy-wise) at this point aren't we? How's your team doing? My first pick (CJ) and my QB (Freeman) have given me nothing My pick at 8 was a stretch (Pierre Thomas) My pick at 9 was solid but now he's out (Tim Hightower) My pick at 2 is kind of a head scratcher for me now that I look at it, but I guess it hasn't panned out so bad My string of picks starting at 3 (Jennings), 4 (Welker), 5 (S. Johnson) have been PPR gold and the only reason I'm only 12 total points away from having the 2nd most cumulative points total in the league. Grankowski was a steal but he's still not getting the attention I assumed he might get from Brady. He has the tools to be the best TE in football IMO. The only waiver wire steal I've managed has been D'Qwell Jackson who I've been a big fan of since Maryland. The only way my team does anything is if Chris Johnson comes to life and I get lucky. How are y'alls teams panning out since draft day? 1. (5) Chris Johnson RB 2. (20) Frank Gore RB 3. (29) Greg Jennings WR 4. (44) Wes Welker WR 5. (53) Stevie Johnson WR 6. (68) Owen Daniels TE 7. (77) Josh Freeman QB 8. (92) Pierre Thomas RB 9. (101) Tim Hightower RB 10. (116) LaDainian Tomlinson RB 11. (125) James Laurinaitis LB 12. (140) San Diego DEF 13. (149) Rob Gronkowski TE 14. (164) Eddie Royal WR 15. (173) David Buehler K 16. (188) Steve Breaston WR 17. (197) Donovan McNabb QB Click on the research tab to look at your draft.
Oh yeah, the pick I immediately hated was Owen Daniels, especially when Grankowski fell to me at 13. He has panned out though. I think I was debating taking Vincent Jackson over Stevie Johnson, or possibly, he was taken before it got back to my pick.
Roddy White has been a bust for me thus far. Should've taken Rodgers, what was I thinking? Steve Smith has been PPR gold, monster with Cam Newton at QB, wish I picked him up so I could have the duo! Jones-Drew has been solid, underachieving in TD's and Receptions but is running well. Ryan Mathews I took and turned out to be a steal thus far, I took him ahead of Fred Jackson though so bugs me a bit although hes having a good season. I knew I should've taken Graham over Winslow, oh well! Mathew Stafford going round 12 pick 9 was a complete steal!! Anyways my main core has been solid all year: Tebow/BigBen White/Bowe/Steve Smith/Brandon Marshall Jones-Drew/Ryan Mathews
