    2011:
    DB Jonathan Joseph
    DB Danieal Manning
    (I give them credit for these signings, but nobody expected them *not* to work out, did they?)

    I consider this below average, especially given the results on the field. Unless the 2009 draft class continues to improve, it may get worse from here. Anybody else think Matt Schaub was purely a Kubiak decision?

    Thanks. I had to compile 2010 and 2011 by myself, wikipedia doesn't have those lists up yet.

    I stated last year . . the talent we DID have was under coached
    It is on Kubiak . . . .
    not saying it was ALL WORLD talent but it was better than it showed.

    Hard to say which year was the worst based off of those acquisitions ... We were lucky to shed the expansion label based off of this

    Red = not a good add
    Green = a good add
    White = mediocre or incomplete

    You know Kubes.. i know you like A PLAYER but I will pick B Player?

    I have been trying to figure out there relationship for some time
    Who has final Say . . . .
    Is Rick a rubber stamp that just makes the numbers match?

    While it is too early to grade the 2011 draft, the top two picks, J.J. Watt and Brooks Reed, will likely grade out as green. Thank you, Wade Phillips.

    I also think that you misgraded the ST players, like Dominique Barber, Garrett Graham, and Sherrick McManis. There is still hope that Graham and McManis can work their way off of the ST.

    they had some swings and misses early, 2007 & 2008.

    2010, despite the Kareem reach, I think is a solid draft. Tate obviously, but Earl is a pretty good rotational guy and Sharpton has been seeing routine snaps. Both are guys that contribute every game and that's a plus in my book, especially in rounds 3 & 4.

    I think we might be seeing Garret Graham next year.

    But, one thing is certainly clear. Secondary talent drafting has been severely lacking.

    I think Kareem should have a color to himself...

    One thing to consider, though - two, really:
    1) If you look at your reds among the drafts picks (15 in all), 9 were taken in the 5th round or later. I have a hard time holding too many of those against any GM.
    2) Someone jokingly mentioned having a different color for Kareem - but there's actually merit in that. For instance, Brian Cushing is having a terrific season after having a terrific rookie season. He's looking like a franchise-level addition to this team. And yet - he's the same color as... James Casey, a nice but thus far complimentary (at best) player. A Cushing or Duane Brown - those guys are hugely important picks that can single-handedly make (or break) a draft and deserve extra citation. (As do busts like Okoye and Jackson.)

    When judging Rick you have to remember he was given the job after Kubiak was named coach. He was a comfort hire to be Gary's yes man. Basically he goes and gets the players Gary and Wade tell him to get.

    The problem is that Gary is not a good judge of talent. This became apparent after Phillips got here and the defensive drafts have improved 100 fold under his direction. The offense is a joke because they are trying to use a 7th round and a street FA at OT. Not too mention that it's week 17 and Gary is still rotating the right side of his line. I've never seen plays being sent in by OL.

    In his 7 drafts, Gary has never addressed the need at WR#2. Meanwhile the Giants have won 2 Superbowls with 2 different WR cores.

    Tell me more about what your sources around the league say.....

    One injury and this team collapses. That's on Smith. We can't handle one injury to our OLs. We cant handle one injury to our DBs (McCain goes out and we collapse). We can't handle one injury to our LBs. Smith has had numerous drafts to build tons of depth and hasn't. He has no eye for talent. He released Winston and Breisel and now the right side of our line is our biggest weakness. We had the money to keep those guys too.

    DonnyMosts draft post says it all. Get rid of this idiot.

    This years draft has been disappointing. Free agents have been just trash.
