Pippen was a top 5 player in his prime. And yet you think Pippen 2.0 isn't top 5. How ironic.

    Based on last year's play

    1) Dirk
    2) Rose
    3) Wade
    4) Dwight
    5) Kobe
    6) Durant
    7) Lebron
    8) Chris Paul
    9) Carmelo
    10) Zach Randolph

How the heck is Pau Gasol anywhere near top 15? Hes as bad as a defender as Amare was LAST year and he was average in the playoffs. He barely outplayed Carl Landry in the 1st round and got destroyed by Dirk in the 2nd round. It would've been acceptable to put him up there in top 10 if he didn't let his opponent to be as productive as they turned out to be.

Pau was the real MVP of the 2010 finals. Kobe got bailed out numerous times by him.

    1. LeBron James -- Regardless of his choking status, he's still the best player in the league.
    2. Dwyane Wade -- Best scorer in the league.
    3. Kevin Durant -- His height + his speed give him and unbelievable advantage over nearly every player in the NBA.
    4. Derrick Rose -- Insanely fast for a point guard. He is improving in nearly every category.
    5. Dwight Howard -- Remains a beast despite having a crappy team.
    6. Dirk Nowitzki -- Post game is unstoppable.
    7. Carmelo Anthony -- Perimeter game is outstanding. Has the physical frame to bully players on D.
    8. Chris Paul -- Stat sheet stuffer, great vision. Can't carry teams though.
    9. Kobe Bryant -- He's getting old.
    10. Lamarcus Aldridge -- Ever since being called soft, he's developed a nice post game and still maintains his silky smooth mid-range jumper. He's like an athletic Scola. Bangs on the inside, smooth as silk from the outside.

No way is Pau Gasol is top ten...

A top twenty player MAYBE. And considering his playoff performance last year, I don't think people have much reason to put him so high. BTW this has nothing to do with Kobe, Pau just isn't a top ten player. Period

Wade is way overrated, he's barely top 5. Still can't shoot that well, and was pretty inconsistent during the regular season

    1. Dwight
    2. Lebron
    3. Dirk
    4. Durant
    5. CP3
    6. Wade (maybe)
    7. Rose
    8. Kobe

Wade went for 25.5/6.4/4.6 and shot 50% from the field in 76 regular season games. Um yeah, that is WAY overrated. You just can't rely on this guy day in, day out

By your definition, I guess he would have to shoot 60% to be "consistent". You must not have seen Wade play much after November once the Heat started figuring things out. The guy was incredible. He's a freak on the basketball court.

Dwight couldn't take his team out of the 1st round. Lebron despite what he had around him got to the 2nd round every year.

Ironic you claim wade was "pretty inconsistent" during the regular season and yet have CP3 ahead of him. Or even ahead of Rose.

In the past 24 hours we have heard that Dwill is not a top 5 point guard and now Wade is not a top 5 player.

Maybe I stated that wrong, he did not perform at a top 5 level consistently, especially in the beginning of the season.

and I did rank him No.6 which isn't that bad jeez

Coming back from an injury and all of the drama of the new completely different team is a fair enough excuse for that IMO.

If you don't think he's top 5, you are in a small minority but that's your opinion. The "way overrated" comment was a bit off the deep end though. Also, IMO, you have to basically toss the first month of the season out for the Heat in evaluating Wade/LeBron/Bosh. But Wade is still easily top 5 regardless.

Depends on how you define #1. I'd draft Dwight over LeBron, just because Dwight is so far ahead of every other center in the league. Wings, play makers, and defenders are far easier to acquire, even if no one possesses those skills the way Bron does in one package.

Sorry but Pippen was NOT a top 5 player in his prime, not even close.
