They do; but we're not Titan fans. If they lose, they're in trouble - a head-to-head loss, plus 0-2 in the division plus 3-3 in the conference.

vickers has been subpar so far. Very disappointed with him at this point.

I hated losing leach but it came down to numbers, and the texans didn't have that much room to play with and still be as active as they were with resigning other players.

I don't really have an opinion on Vickers to this point.

Most of Arian's runs have been without a lead blocker, and the pass that Vickers dropped, Vonta dropped 9 times out of 10 when he was here.

To me, it's still a wash.

Remember when the 2009 Broncos started out 6-0 with their new coach? They finished 8-8 and missed the playoffs. Let's wait until the season is over before we declare they've officially "turned it around." Hell, WE started 4-2 last year and look how that ended up.

I'm not suggesting the Texans are going to win the Superbowl this year. Believe me, I'm not... Just saying 3-3 is a little early to fire the coach and start rebuilding. If we end up 5-7 again, let's talk.

Not to mention: Leach could play here 10 years and not have a season as good as Casey's game against the Saints. I loved his two-carry denial at the goal line yesterday, though.

    This is a valid point.

Having Casey in the backfield probably puts the defense more on their heels than Vonta ever did.

He simply has to be accounted for.

maybe, maybe not. Vonta was always due for a drop here or there but you can't assume he would have dropped that.

But it wasn't just the dropped ball. Yesterday he was unimpressive in his pass protection as well. Hopefully he can improve, but thus far, he's been poor in his little showing.

And yes, a lot of the texans runs plays are single back which is why it came down to a numbers game. There is no need to pay a guy the highest price tag at FB to only have him in on 30% of the plays.

Big difference though. This is Kubiak's sixth year. A little different than a first year head coach. Plus, our talent is better than those Broncos were. Our is 3-3 too early to dire Kubiak? It's not like this is Kubiak's first, second, or third year. It's not like Kubiak has made the playoffs, or won the division. Hell, he called the Texans winners at 9-7. Loser mentality.

So have we all beat it into the ground enough that Kubiak is behind schedule and his nuts are on the dresser?

Are his nuts on the dresser? We need somebody to go to McNair with that exact question.

I can't see how you can keep him if he doesn't make the playoffs. This is the lowest the bar has ever been. His contract is up after next year, so who knows.

You simply cannot get too emotionally invested in the Texans until they actually go out there an prove themselves on the field. Until that happens the rest is ancillary. And I'm talking about Schaub's stats & status as a topflight QB, Kubiak's sideline demeanor, FixIt's defense, EVERYTHING. At the end of the day, you ARE what your record says you are and that's the only thing that really matters. If you expect nothing from them then you will never be disappointed. Works for me just fine.

I continue to maintain anything less than 8 wins, and he's gone. 10+ and he stays. 8-9 wins will be tricky, IMO. It'll ultimately depend on how we wound up at8-9 wins - does AJ miss more time? What if Schaub misses time?

Personally, anything less than 10 and he should be fired (unless 9 wins the division - hell, if 8 wins the division: fine). And I'd like a house-cleaning. I'm not as automatically afraid of Wade as most - but I think we need to wipe the slate clean.

BUT... we're a long way from that decision.

If he doesn't win 10 games, division doesn't matter to me. The only thing that should save his job if he wins 9 or fewer games is a playoff VICTORY. Six years in he shouldn't get to keep his job because everyone else managed to be bad enough that our mediocrity got us into the playoffs.

I have to agree with you about Kubiak: 9 or 10 wins plus the division and he'll be back although typing this makes my stomach roil. I have seen enough of Kubiak to last a lifetime. I also believe that the fix is in concerning Wade (as in it's a done deal). Why else would Bum Phillips (with Pastorini in tow) suddenly pop up out of retirement to give Kubiak the "dreaded" vote of confidence during the offseason? And surprise, surprise his boy Wade just so happens to get the DC job right after that little bit of public relations for the masses.

I can't see Wade being let go if Kubiak gets the axe and if he's passed over for the head coaching position, then McNair would telling the next HC whom to put on his staff which is exactly the way Jeral Jones operates the Cows. As you can see, this has worked so well for the Cows these past 16 years...

If we make the playoffs , Kubiak gets an extension...If we dont make it , Kubiak loses his job...Remind me again which scenario is worse???........

If it takes a beatdown like this in a tough environment for us to grow as a team and come out swinging in Tennessee, I'm all for it.

If we're a playoff-bound team, this loss should be the ripple effect that creates the momentum that puts us in beast mode for the rest of the season.

I doubt it happens, but it should.
