You thought they really had a shot at him or were going to acquire him? Never thought they were a serious candidate. Same with DRC, Taylor, Rashean Mathis, Wayne, Robert Mathis or any other player thrown out there. Sorry to disappoint you. :p

I don't know what I'd do if the Titans get him. :(

It may cause me to do some unquestionable things.

Brandon Lloyd is being dealt to the Rams. More to come on NFL.com and NFL Network

Why would the Rams, now - what? 4 games back of a pretty good SF team, deal *any* picks for a 30-something year old WR? Dumb.

We're dumb for not pulling the trigger on this deal. It was a no brainer for us. Walters or Jones can't be your #2.

Unless the FO thinks AJ will be good to go for next week and on, it just doesn't make sense for us not to pursue him or any other decent WR on the market.

Im hearing the offer may be even as low as a late round conditional pick...if thats the case, the Texans messed up big time. Hopefully it was for a 3rd-4th rounder.

Rams and Broncos still working out some final details, and WR Brandon Lloyd preparing to join the Rams. Should be finalized soon

Looks like we are gonna be sticking with the guys we got. Last year it would have made sense since Kubiak didn't face any sense of urgency to make the postseason, but this year, his job is on the line. He can't afford to not add talent.

    A head scratcher indeed.

Eh. He had a really nice 2010 season. I don't see much else in his resume to make me think he was the final piece to this puzzle.

I'm just glad he's not going to the Titans. We got AJ and Casey back with Mason in the fold, we're good at WR.

No we are not . Casey is not a wr or viable passing option . I'm still hoping for Marshall.

Would've been nice but I'd rather see the Texans make a play for a competant 2nd CB.

I'm confused by the hand-wringing associated with our WRs. Once Johnson is back healthy, we have enough. Mason was a solid pick-up (as goos as Lloyd, IMO).

You don't need Andre Johnson and Andre Johnson to win. They've put up HUGE #s with this group. They'll be fine.

What if AJ is not at full strength and hasn't healed. What if there's a set back in his recovery? Hamstring issues linger on, as evident by Foster coming along slowly.

Are you really comfortable with Jones starting again? Lloyd would have been an excellent #2 who could fit in seemingly as a #1 with AJ out of the lineup.

AJ deserves a competent #2 alongside him just like Fitzgerald had Boldin.

    You really think that?

Nothing the FO or Kubiak can do wrong in your eyes.

If I find out the he was had for anything more than a 5th rounder, my head will explode.

That they'll be fine once AJ is back? Yes.

Sure. But not trading for a 30-year old one-year wonder isn't as egregious to me as it apparently is to you.

I think the fact he's being had for so little, by a team that's 0-5 sort of speaks volumes to how he's viewed around the league. The Titans need a WR more than we do. What about the Bills, who have more injuries there than we do? Oakland? Washington?

Lots of contenders with a need are passing on him. Don't live in a Texan-only vaccum.

What if AJ is not healthy the rest of the year, or goes down again?

The Texans are not very deep, they should have given a real hard look at a talented player like LLoyd, IMO.

Eddie Royal is also on the block. He is more proven AND has more upside than Jacoby Jones. Royal wouldn't be the answer, but he'd be an upgrade of Jones. He can also return the football, possibly replacing Holliday too. Bring in Royal.

Kinda glad they didn't make the trade. I don't want Rick Smith and Kubes selling away their replacements draft picks.
