Wow^^^(@I'mJustSayin)although I shouldnt be surprised or shocked. Announcers towards the end of the game: If football was 45 minutes, the Texans would be undefeated. Then fans keep waiting/thinking(?) this team is turning the corner and here they come back around that same corner.
Dierdorf saying he's surprised we're even 3-3 with the way we've played in the 2nd half this season is telling.
I just don't understand how such a successful man in the business world can be so naive and in such denial about his team. Everyone who follows the texans knows what is holding us back. You want a winner? Prove it, go get a coach with balls, I'm sick of this s***
Not the end of the world. A lot of positives to take from this game. We got shafted on several calls by the ref. The one that bugs me the most was the Arian Foster facemask. Refs didn't see it. Jacoby Jones steps up, Owen, Walter & Mason were solid When AJ gets back we're going to have plenty of weapons at wideout Defensive pressure was nice Schaub was a warrior today, though I imagine the radio talk shows will light up with how Schaub is the reason we lost the game. GFY! We need AJ & Casey back soon. I'm not panicking.
For me ,this team is gonna need to win the next 3 games to pull me back in. Win the next 4 games and I will get excited again. Lose any of the next 3 games though and I am not gonna watch them anymore until Kubiak is no longer the coach. My stomach and my heart can't take this much longer. I am sorry but it's just my personal feelings.
After ten years, I'm done taking positives from losses. If a child developed at the pace of the Texans, they'd be in special ed by now. Because he was healthy again. Allen never beat him out for the starting job.
Both the Rockets and Texans are 2nd rate franchises. Being a fan of both those teams is like loving you're b*stard, no good son. He's your kid so you have to love him, but deep down you wish you had an abortion.
How so? Neither have been relevant for the past decade. One fired a coach who was respectable, the other apparently gives out extensions left and right. Our last championship was like 2 decades ago.
Here's a thought: what happens if the Texans really DO implode and fail to do anything special this year? How can we, as fans, cope with another season of false hope and broken promises and overall illusion and delusion? What is that offseason going to be like? Is anyone in their right mind going to have an inkling of a doubt that next year will suck too? The mere futility of this franchise would probably come bearing down on the whole fanbase. This year looked so good (and damn it, it STILL looks good IMO), but if things really do go sour... what's our incentive to stay attached emotionally (InB4 everyone says they've been detached for years...)?
He's not lying, if I thought the Rockets were even a top 5 seed I'd be pissed about the lockout, we're not, so I don't care. Last two seasons I got ramped up for the Texans, only to be disappointed. We'll make the playoffs this year, but we can't beat the Ravens/Pats/Chargers of the AFC.
This loss doesn't bother me that much. Of course, I didn't think we were one of the very best teams in the league when this season started. It sounds like many of you feel like we have the talent to go to the Super Bowl, I just don't. I think we see now how important AJ is to our Offense, and I'll sure be glad to see Casey return to the lineup. I don't know if having Mario would have made much of a difference, but it didn't help not having him available. This past year we drafted for Defense, and while we aren't the best in the league, I think we have improved in some areas. This next draft we must get some wide receivers and maybe a QB that can run faster than a statue.
it's funny to read the calm "let's not panic" comments. i want to be your neighbor when the hurricane comes or i am left behind after the rapture. "ok..ok..lets not panic..on the bright side..we are still alive.."
I am trying not to be a Texans apologist, but the defense hit Flacco in the mouth and we seem like we are still gonna be able to get pressure. The horrible loss was last week. We were at home and had the better team, the lead and we let the Raiders slip the noose. Next game tells us a lot, we should be able to beat Tenn on the road, if we do that we might be o.k, if not we are looking at a long season.
