The thing was, last year we played crappy in the first half and thrived in the 2nd half. We've flipped the script this year and it's really inexplicable how that happened.
I think we could dress up the afc pro-bowl team in Texans unis and Kubiak would find a way to screw it up. For the love of god McNair it's time to give him the axe, it was time 3 years ago
We whine because our teams suck, the teams do not suck because we whine. Houston does deserve better, we're a good town with good people.
my problem is after 10 yrs this is what you have to hope for. so what once they get in they get booted in round 1? i thought the goal was to win a championship. and don't say anything about taking baby steps. its been a *&^&* decade
I think about how my head wants to explode every weekend and then i see fans from other cities all happy and cheering week after week...stress free... and i wonder just how amazing it would feel to have no ties to Houston sports. Moar Beer. Another weekend of depression. I need to fight something. I'm gonna go to McDonalds. Who's comin with?
We went into Baltimore and actually grabbed the LEAD in the 2nd half! Awesome moral victory! You guys just need to focus on the positive. Who cares about wins? We saw some of the best battlefighting of the season, bar none. We'll just go back out next week and battlefight some more! And if we lose, well, I'm sure it'll be a hard-fought loss.
Hopefully Andre is back next week. But even if he is, I think we lose to Tennessee. With or without Andre, we're an awful road team and we're 2-13 in division road games under Kubiak.
I hate that we keep losing these close games, especially when we have chances to win. But we're now through by far the toughest part of our schedule. We lost to two great teams and one good team, beat two bad teams as well as the defending AFC Champions. Next week we hopefully have AJ and Casey back. Mason will have more time to be familiar with the playbook. There is absolutely no excuse we shouldn't win at least the next 3. No excuse for not going into the bye at 6-4 or 7-3 (which might be asking too much). So giving up on the season now would be foolish.
Unfortunately, this has been the theme since Kubiak took over. I think that we can make the playoffs under Kubiak (this year at least), but we're probably 3 to 1 dogs to win that game. I sure hope that Cowher/Gruden is interested in the job. SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE US A SUPER BOWL FOOTBALL TEAM!!!
As a guy who grew up a Niner fan till the Texans came to town and seeing the Niners being ****ty every year and expected to be ****ty this year and starting off their season better than we ever have....I AGREE. Teams go from **** to winners in as fast as 1 off season or coaching change. WE ARE THE SAME MEDIOCRE TEAM OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Texans 1-3 in the last four weeks. The more things change, the more they stay the same. This team is good for excuses and "potential", but not much else.
Nothing too shocking here. Next week is still for sole possession of first place and the Texans have one of the easier schedules for the final 10 games. If they look bad next week, well...
