not sure how many have kept up with Deron's time in Europe. Everyone says we would dominate there and so on yet there are another group that realize europe is more physical, doesn't attend to star calls that players enjoy here so not many of the players would adjust and be easy stars over there as you would think

Deron has been struggling and has been complaining about the reffing

I don't consider Deron Williams a Top 5 NBA PG.

Huh? Deron Williams is indeed a top 5 PG.

    I honestly don't.

    1. Chris Paul
    2. Derrick Rose
    3. Rajon Rondo
    4. Steve Nash
    5. Russell Westbrook
    6. Deron Williams

I might have put D-Will in maybe top three, two or three years ago...
But I just don't see it.

As far as being a floor leader goes, I wouldn't put him in the top 5. As far as scoring goes? Maybe.

You put Deron Williams on the Celtics and no way they lose to the Heat in the playoffs.

Also you have Nash ahead of him? Deron's defensive capabilities alone make him better than Nash.

    1. Chris Paul
    2. Derrick Rose
    3. Deron Williams
    4. Russell Westbrook
    5. Rajon Rondo

The only thing Rondo is better than Deron at is rebounding.

    Dwill 3 years ago 10 assists 19ppg
    Dwill 2 years ago 10 assists 18ppg
Dwill last year 10 assists 20ppg

You could argue he shot a worse percentage this year, but he was on par with his usual efficiency in Utah. Wasn't until he went to New Jersey and had to play through injury that his percentage dropped.

Dwill is AT WORST a top 3 point guard. Hell, at this point, along with many others, I would put him ahead of Rose for now. Some would even put him ahead of Paul. It's at least debatable.

Do you honestly think Rose and Westbrook are better floor leaders?

Before this season it was CP3 vs Deron Williams. Williams had an injury riddled season so people forgot about him.

Just like people began to forget about CP3 and crowned Derrick Rose until the playoffs when CP3 won 2 games

Imagine if Deron WASNT balling now and the NBA season started in Christmas. He'd be reporting to NBA camp even more portly.

Its definitely about cultural adjustments & attitudes that differentiate the leagues. Maybe the Euroball brings coddled star players down to size. But I'm just not gonna buy that Sean Singletary is a better option at point guard than Deron Williams.

Nobody ever said that Euroball is soft. Moreover, he should be complaining about the refs over there. They're horrible.

Euroball is appropriately named it's own name, cause it's a different game.

But even with the differences, NBA players still dominate international competition.

There shouldn't be any star treatment. The outcome of many NBA games would be a lot different if Stern's refs called the game the way it suppose to be.
