wade once again doesn't look at the problem with in. His team has another good example. Mike miller is a solid NBA player. His previous campaigns he did really well and was a great roll player glue guy to spread the court, playing for miami sounds irght with the big 3. So with the NBA market price and other players trying to him, he was signed to what 5 years 35 million dollars? He tanked last year, didn't fit, his value shot low with tradiing, didn't gel...guess what, his performance doesn't matter...in every other job or situation in America if you start performing poorly and dont fit in with your work place, you can be let go.....in this case,Miami is stuck paying him for 4 Years and 28 Million dollars. I like mike miller, but this is apart of these issues, extremely long contracts, too much guaranteed money.
i dont think many felt it was bad management to get Mike miller last year, right wade? These guys had to sign off on it. Some people say maybe slightly overpriced, but that wa the market price bidding against he lakers at the time. Thats how cost draw up, Owners and GM don't randomly say lets just give this guy an average of 7 million

Nobody is out there paying to see the role players. The only games that were full at the Toyota center were for lebron, kobe, and griffin. The rank file need to be happy with anything they get.

Is Clutch Fans largely in favor of the players? Cause I'm not. I want a hard cap as I think its better for fans of every team if they can re-sign guys and not just watch them go to the Lakers, Heat, Celtics, etc. He's only challenging the owners for his own selfish reasons to ensure Bosh and/or Lebron are not forced off the Heat under a hard cap.

I think a previous poll shows favoring towards the owners. I am with them, I think the players got an inflated CBA in the first place so everyone talking about their "concessions" are just irrelevant. I want to see some accountability on the players for their long, guaranteed contracts. Unprecedented in any other sports the way they had. Owners have their wrongs too, but overall in this debate, I want to see a better level playing field, more accountability so we are not stuck with these contracts and players crying about playing time, lowering team chemistry, not being in shape, etc...

I don't get it. Its you people who complain that NBA players are making way too much money and that doctors and whatever BS profession should be getting much, much more. (You want a meritocracy)

If that is so, then why are chastising star players over middle of the pack players? If you want a meritocracy then don't make yourself look like a hypocrite doing it.

I don't think they are making too much money. I think they are not being held accountable with the legnths and terms of the contracts....plain and simple

If the NBA Players union ever wants to be taken seriously, they need to hold firm. Look at the MLBPA. It's one of the strongest unions in America in large part because players in the past were willing to make sacrifices, and the players today haven't forgotten that.
