The sad thing is that losing to the Ravens really does not hurt the Texans. Winning the division will not be a contest of who is the best, but a contest of who is the least pathetic. Even sadder is this is the Texans' best chance ever to make the playoffs. Even more sadder is that we are tied with Tennessee at 3-2 with a loseable game coming up against Baltimore. The even more sadderer thing is that everyone in the League will hate our divisional winner because they'll probably be 7-9 or 8-8 - taking playoff spots away from 10-6 and 11-5 teams.
You're majorly exaggerating and/or reaching here. With both having relatively weak schedules, I don't see much chance at all of both Houston and Tennessee being eight or seven win teams. You're going to need 10, minimum, to win this division. I don't care who you are... outside of MAYBE Green Bay, every team in the league is going to be an underdog at New Orleans and Baltimore. You just don't win often in places like that. The Oakland game hurt, but then again, you were without arguably your best players on both offense and defense, and were still one play away. Given the opening schedule, almost everyone had the Texans 3-3 after six games. It was always supposed to be the final 10 where this team truly makes headway. It still can be. No reason to get all dramatic and declare this division a battle of the pathetic. Things are still right on course.
I think 9 may do it, with a tiebreaker most likely. The Titans remaining schedule... vs. HOU vs. IND vs. CIN @ CAR @ ATL vs TB @ BUF vs NO @ IND vs JAX @ HOU I count 5, maybe 6 wins left for them.
I'm going to be so angry if the Texans win 9 games, get into the playoffs, lose in the first round and Gary gets a contract extension.
Might as well get used to it. Even if Gary gets the ax, you know who is next in line. And Bob will give him at least 3 years to get "on the right track."
I'm thinking Titans win 4-5 games the rest of the season. I'm not buying into the Titans, yes they beat up on Baltimore, they're allowed one bad game a season. But Titans other two wins came against Denver and Cleveland. They got embarrassed against Pitt and lost to Jacksonville. Non-related picture Spoiler
This will be a defining win. When we look back at this season in January, we will have seen a team that climbs out of its gutter and gets back on track with this game Sunday. The Ravens hit hard so we have to hit harder. Let them know and leave know doubt in their mind, the Texans are a force to be reckoned with and no playoff run will be easy this year. And if they don't win...there's always next week.

The first game of the season in which I think we have no chance to pull of a victory. I don't even think Schaub makes it out alive. Lewis, Sluggs and Ngata scare the hell out of me. I would have liked our chances if either Mario or Andre were to play.
Yay, Dan Dierdorf again. I have an irrational feeling the Texans win this one. I like the idea of Pollard covering Owen Daniels.
