So the real question is that the Texans will have to secure home-field throughout the playoffs if they plan on making any noise, right?
So, had the Texans lost to the Titans on Sunday, they would add to the record because the Titans would be 4-2 but since they beat them, the Titans fall to 3-3 and it doesn't help the cause.
Just for fun...or not fun after seeing it. I took a look at next years opponents on the schedule. The out of division road schedule looks brutal. @New England @New York Jets @Chicago @Detroit* @AFC West First Place Team from this year (assuming Texans finish in first) *Detroit plays vs the AFC next year on Thanksgiving. It'll be between Houston and Indy to play in that game. Link
I'm pretty sure they are taking into account the final record of the team that year, not their record when they actually played them. Titans probably don't end up with a winning record this season. Probably 7-8 wins, I would guess.
God I hope we get that game, I'd love a Texans Thanksgiving game. Only chance though is if we make noise this year. We know Manning will be good next year so of course they'll want him in a primetime game.
And my God that schedule is brutal. Pats, Jets, Lions, Bears and presumably the Chargers. Be lucky to win more than 1 of those.
