Hey man, I love Matt Schaub, but you can't deny he under throws a lot of long balls. We need to get Lloyd if not anything but to c-block the Titans.
Funny thing is, Matt's deep ball has been on point this year, it's his stuff underneath that he has consistently underthrown.
I was reading on Rotoworld that Brandon Marshall only caught 53% of his passes and he dropped a bunch of potental big gainers this year..with his salary I dont think it's a smart move. Lloyed got GREAT hands...we need him more now than ever! come on Texans, put the foot in the pedal and go for it for a change..
Lloyd was a monster last year -- in the right system (Texans) he can keep putting up the stats. Lloyd has always had the talent, but he was definitely a late bloomer as far as wide receivers go.
The Broncos had an incredibly pass heavy offense last year, they were the equivalent of the 2009 Texans. Hopefully we aren't going back to that.
I say heck yeah! Lloyd would be a great compliment to AJ and totally worth it if only for a 5th rounder.
They said the asking price is like a 4th or 5th round pick....come on TEXANS you can do this...solve the WR problem once and for all... Lloyd and AJ.....oh man.... DD
Watching that video though, he goes down a LOT, rarely does it seem he tries to get extra yardage, more like he just wants to protect himself. Still would go get him, but hopefully on a better team he would try for some YAC ! DD
That would still be a fair deal. Watching that highlight video is kind of depressing. Lloyd reminds me of everything Jacoby could have been.
If brandon marshall will take his pills, I would give the phins as much as a third round pick this year and a future fifth. Loyd would be a nice edition, especially for a 4th. Considering that our fourth rounder will probably turn out to be a cornerback that will not be able to replace the talented kareem, I say pull the trigger on that trade.
He will not be as good as he was last year, but the Broncos are not asking for much. He also has 19 catches in 4 games this season (he's only played in 4 of their 5 games), which comes out to 76 for the year. His YPC is down though from last season. He's a borderline #1, but an elite #2 WR option. Would give the Texans so many weapons on offense when AJ comes back.
