Just finished both episodes. The second was just as good as the first, in my opinion. Maybe even better. If they can keep this up, this has potential to be the best show on tv. It's already my new favorite show.
Agreed. The plotline actually has a lot of potential to grow, and I love the characters that have been introduced so far. This show is the anti-Falling Skies. At least so far. FX has done a great job in their programming over the last few seasons.
If nothing else you should be into it just for Connie Britton! Spoiler Obviously there is still a lot of story to develop, but I think what will end up making it believable (as believable as possible, anyway) that they stay in the house is that the husband (Mcdermott) is crazy himself and will convince his wife to stay because he desperately wants this "fresh start". It will be interesting next week and in the long run how they keep them in that house without it being completely silly.
Spoiler There is a ton to still develop. Obviously there is potential to do it right and wrong. I agree with your assessment about McDermott. One of the things I'm interested to see how they develop is how he goes about realizing that his patients are all dead. How does he react to that.
It is really well done. The acting is great, especially Jessica Lange. And the housekeeper is smoking. She was in that Courtney Cox series- Dirt.
I'm incredibly intrigued to see how the neighbors fit into everything. Are they also dead, or are they just there to protect the house, and make sure things continue to progress the way the house wants them to? Also, I will add that both the maid and Connie Britton are smoking hot.
I agree. I watched them back to back too. I dont know how they will write the stories with these same characters (residing family) though. I'm wondering if they will bring in newer families. Great show from FX!
Spoiler I'm pretty sure they are. There have been many hints at it, like Constance (the older lady, right?) telling Moira (the maid) "Don't make me kill you again." Also, I think the biggest hint is the age of Adelaide. If you notice, in the flashback in 1970-whatever, she was young. In the nowadays part, she doesn't seemed to have aged that much (although it's kind of hard to tell, and I think that's purposefully done.) Why else would she be consorting with ghosts? How would Adelaide be getting into the house so easily? Notice Constance said, "She always finds a way in." My question: Is Tate related to the twins?
Spoiler My theory is Tate is Constance's normal son. She mentioned in episode two that all her children had Down's except for one, who was left for other things. His relationship in the trio (Constance, Moira, Tate), plus being a blonde kid like Constance, lead me to believe he is her normal child. He probably died in that house a long time ago.
got around to watching this...wow. The first couple episodes are fantastic. Super creepy and interesting. I am also skeptical on the length of the series but 2-3 seasons of shows with this great of quality is more than one could ask for. A great new genre for a tv series.
the Pilot episode and Home Invasion. For whatever reason the pilot was not picked up when I DVR'd the season.
Hmmm....ok, that makes a lot of sense. Then, like Duncan McDonuts said, Tate might very well be the "normal" son of Constance. So then would that make the guy with the burned face Constance's husband??
