I would take him even if he didn't. He's going to be dynamic and could sit behind Matt and learn for a couple of years.
He's pretty universally considered a 1st round pick right now. I think the bigger question is whether you've actually seen any Baylor football games.
Watched the TCU game and then watched highlights of his other games. Sorry but his numbers don't do it for me against garbage teams. Lets see what happens when he plays Oklahoma.
It's not just that he has a cannon for an arm combined with great precision or that he's fast as hell. It's his work ethic and professionalism that sticks out to me.
That's fine - but you're the one that's already determined that he's not a 1st round pick. So what have you seen to make you think that?
You play who you play. It's like those who questioned Tomnlinson at TCU when his talent was obvious. But, it's not just about the numbers. He is a great athlete, he has a great arm both in terms of strength and accuracy. He's a smart player who is actually able to read the defense and not just run at the first sign of trouble. He's a mature kid who has worked to before a very good QB. I don't know what more, in terms of physical traits, you would want in a QB.
Japanese players don't get drafted, let alone in the first round! Come on, people! It is a lock that the Raiders will draft him in the first round... Spoiler He is wicked fast, yo!
Al Davis aint there anymore mane... I wonder if Indy would draft him.. That would be reality show worthy...
Kiper says he "has everything you want in an NFL QB" and referred to him as "solidly a first rounder." McShay says he considering RG3 a 2nd round pick. Both say he'll be a starting NFL QB.
depends. was this injury on the field or off? if off, was it during a flag football game or some other nfl-prohibited activity? if not, was he riding in a car with a friend who was giving him the bidness, got in a wreck and has his schlong bitten off by his friend who died in the wreck, so matt was so distraught he killed himself with a shotgun he had in his trunk? until you answer these questions, i cannot answer your hypothetical.
thats not the obvious... Thats the x-factor!!!.. The obvious is his ability and accuracy.. the x-factor is the determinant of his draft position...
I have seen him play a few times and was very, very impressed. His accuracy is amazing. I can't imagine him as an NFL bust, he has all the skills and the intangibles. He is VY on steroids and a brain. Check him out tomorrow against the Aggies.
