    The point I am making is that Bud has only been able to light up poor defensive teams and against teams that guard him, he chokes hard. Alternatively, opposing wings on the other end reguarly have All-Star games against him. Hopefully he proves me wrong though. I would love nothing more than to eat crow for Rox players.

    Please go back and look at his game logs. He was still wildly inconsistent, pretty much alternative good games and horrific ones. Against bad teams, he could mask it by making cuts into a poor defense. Against good teams, not at all.

    I agree with you. In my Offseason Reflection thread, I put him below than even Budinger. TWill has so much going for him, but he needs to get his **** together fast. He could be such an X-factor for our team!

    Just a few to point out the inconsistency in your inconsistent against good teams theory.

    From the game log: http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/3968/chase-budinger

    Lakers - 6/10 5rbs 13pts
    Blazers - 4/6 3rbs 10 ppts
    Miami - 4/8 5rbs 10 pts
    Boston - 5/6 3rbs 13pts
    Orlando - 8/11 5rbs 19pts
    Spurs - 4/6 2rbs 9pts
    Denver - 6/11 6rbs 15pts
    Blazers 6/10 5rbs 14pts
    Spurs 4/9 rbs 12pts

    He certainly had some clunkers too, but he did not choke every time he played a quality team.

    He was inconsistent as you would expect a 2nd year player to be, his minutes were also inconsistent, so as a starter his consistency might become...well....more consistent.

    I can't wait to see him flourish under a new system. All the haters in this thread will feel really stupid...

    If he can actually learn to listen to his coach, my hat is off to him for growing the F up.

    Otherwise he remains a immature third string guard that tweets a lot.

    Chase is a fine player, it's just growing pains. Same thing like Kobe went through. That cold blooded 3 in Boston was something to remember. He will become a marriage between Korver/Van Horn at best with greater hops.

    So you are counting sub double digit scoring games as good now? How is it consistent when he pretty much alternates good games with really horrible ones? It is nice of you to cherry pick some of his "good" games on basic stat lines, but why don't you take into consideration opposing D pressure and effort? Also, good team doesn't mean they are good perimeter defensive teams. When teams lax off him consistently, I expect for him to score. Another thing to consider is how he performed on the other end as well. Regardless of whether or not he has a good shooting, he consistently has horrible D on the other end. It is somewhat bearable on the occasions where his shot is falling, but his complete lack of D on the other end hurts us far more than he typically helps.

    He needs to be working on his basketball... not boxing.

    I don't know why we are debating Terrence Williams and Chase Budinger.

    I think they would look AWESOME together!!! Terrence can guard the opposing team's best player, and Chase can play off the ball while Terrence and Lowry set up teammates...

    1. Kyle Lowry
    2. Terrence Williams
    3. Chase Budinger

    A nice mix of shooting/ size, athleticism and intelligence...

    By the way, since we are bringing up game logs, let's post some of TWillies best games...

    Chicago= 27-10-13
    Charlotte= 21-6-13
    Indiana= 15-7-8
    Washington= 15-4-3
    New Orleans= 14-14-3
    Pheonix= 21-9-5
    Detroit= 13-8-6
    Dallas= 18-3-13
    Miami= 9-7-8
    Memphis= 14-6-6
    New York= 3-7-11
    Orlando= 14-4-4
    Cleveland= 21-7-5

    In 15 games in March 2009, he averaged 14 points, 5 assists and 7 rebounds a game, while shooting over 43% from the field.
    In 7 games in April 2009, he averaged 14 points, 6 assists and 7 rebounds a game, while shooting 45% from the field.
    In 29 games after the all-star break, Terrence Williams averaged 12 points, 4 assists and 6 rebounds while shooting 44% from the field, all in 27 minutes.

    If for nothing other than to see what we have, and to drive up his value, we need to give the guy a huge bulk of minutes. It will be painful at times, but you can't just sit this type of player with this type of talent until he becomes worthless... Daryl needs to do some house cleaning so McHale won't have such hard decisions.

    Lowry/Dragic/Flynn
    Martin/Lee/Williams

    Budinger/Morris
    Scola/Patterson/Hill
    Hayes/Thabeet

    Are you f'ing serious Daryl? ;)

    Court vision like that from a guy that can athletically rival Wade & Lebron, is not something to stick your nose up at. He needs to be coached and he needs to be played and praised for the right things. I love how he looks dishing to Patrick, and in the beginning he does a great job of letting AB run the show. As long as he understands that Lowry is the man with the ball, Twill will be fine. He is immature, but I think McHale will bring out the very best in him...

    Those videos are fun to watch until you look at the score and realize that the other teams are playing the ends of their benches, too.

    On the one hand, Terrance has proved absolutely nothing at any level other than the D league.

    On the other, maybe what he says about Adelman is true, and that he was just caught in the middle of a bad situation re: Rick/Daryl. If that's the case, this should really be make or break time. McHale isn't going to automatically start Bud, I have a feeling that everyone on the roster will have to earn their spot.

    Replace K. Lowey with a back up point and may be on to something...as long as K. Martin & C. Lee are on the team I hope to never see this trio as starters. If we see C. Budinger as a starter at the end of the season (if there is one) DM the GM needs to look for work else where IMO.
