I think he is right though, think of all those employees that are losing their gigs because of this situation, screw the players and owners, what about the vendors etc?

This is exactly wrong. Lebron cares very much what people think about him. This is why he pays so much attention to image and marketing. Just compare him to Kobe. Kobe doesn't give a damn about what anyone else in the world thinks, even people who are nice to him. Not saying I like Kobe though lol.

LBJ has a lot of haters, but it's pretty obvious that it really does bother him that so many people dislike him. Why else would he keep defending himself so strenuously at the press conferences and on twitter?

Yes, LBJ is a great player and has a great life. But he gives off this air like he's already burned out on basketball. That's disappointing when you know he's capable of so much more.

Talent-wise, Chris Weber was nowhere close to LeBron. Not even debatable. His hype wasn't in the same universe as LeBron's hype either.

Lebron's biggest issue is his mouth & his brainless simple minded fans who grossly overhype him. He'll have a good series of games, and all of sudden he's top 5 GOAT. When he crumbles in the clutch, his fans start placing blame elsewhere and making excuses:rolleyes:

I think his fans need to come to the conclusion he's simply never going to top 15 GOAT player. He's incredibly gifted, but so is Tracy mcgrady.

Did you see him v. Celtics and Bulls? That was the same guy.

He needs to make it happen EVERY series. But that guy is there

So Weber had handles and court-vision like a PG and shot 3-pointers, yet the only difference between him and LeBron was athleticism? Give it up. You are off the tracks. I'm one of the older members here and saw Webber all through college and during his NBA career before the injury. No comparison at all in talent or hype.

Dude the fab five were the most hyped team in college basketball history, what are you talking about?

And Chris Webber was the best passing pf in history. I think he saw the court pretty well.

And if anything he underachieved in the nba and still was 20/10 and 4 plus for nearly 10 seasons.

I'd give that DNA lottery to his family and friends... and the sports bars in Cleveland... They can hate em all they want but their businesses hasnt been this booming since the Anti-Modell happy hour promotions.... Credit that to Lebron...

As much as I don't like what LeBron did on the court, all you people calling him a mama's boy or insulting him about his off court issues are taking it too far.

Nobody knows what he's like so they can't judge him.

For all his faults, each one of you criticizers would give up your left nut for him to be wearing Rockets red.

Defending himself I think is all about salvaging what little global impact he has left more than him being hurt about the criticism... As you've said, why include the media and other social networks?... Because I want to revamp my reputation to hold on to my brand... Otherwise I wouldnt give a ****...

Im sure his passion for basketball is the same as before ...Just the bs that comes with that is takin its toll...Can u imagine , every which a way theres a camera and an article ready to be written after every move made??... But that comes with the fame and fortune... So its worth it IMO

If he did this I would root for him, because honestly, f--k today's milk-drinking, espn filtered, goody-two-shoes sports society. But the fact is, Lebron obviously wants people to love him, which makes his actions all the more pitiful and stupid.

I don't think Pippen led the team in almost every category. Oh wait, the one season that he did (when MJ was gone)....he was considered the leader of the team.

Yeah, he's very good at keeping his name in lights. No doubt about that. But he's developed this bad habit of saying too many things that sound immature, and then throwing a tantrum when someone calls him out on it. That's how people act when they are exhausted.

If he had his original passion for the game, he would not have gone to Miami. I mean, the appeal of Miami was that LBJ would not have to work as hard there and he would have Wade to lead the team for him. That sounds like the decision making of someone ready to retire more than someone excited about his career.

Let's be consistent and stay on subject. The Fab Five was incredibly hyped but to say Webber by himself had the same hype LeBron had is ludicrous. To say Webber had the passing ability, court vision and handles of LeBron is just crazy.

There the skill level of the two players is not close. LeBron blows Webber away.

Every post in history that starts with a sentence like this ends with something that reasonable minds will disagree about.

Believe it or not, Michael Jordan used to be criticized for not being able to win a title... then he won 6. Shaq was blasted for being overhyped and getting swept out of the playoffs every year, falling short of the title ... then he won 4. We all saw what happened to Dirk last year and know very well what his reputation was for years before that.

LeBron is indeed overhyped, but he's ridiculously talented. He has a ridiculously talented teammate who has a ring. He also has Bosh, who (while not on the same level) is pretty damn talented as well. Given that core of 3 and their age, LeBron's team is going to continue to add talented players who will make financial sacrifices for a shot at a ring.

I'd love to see him get shutout, but overwhelming odds are he will win at least one ring. In that case, the comments by these two clowns will look silly.

Bigger story here to me is that Stephen A. is back consistently on sports TV and that schtick of his has gotten even more over the top. He could be good as he's very knowledgeable about the NBA, but then he starts raising his voice and gets absurd:

"ENOUGH! YOU GOT! TO GET! IT DONE! THAT'S IT!! ENOUGH!"

It's a shame that sports TV has come to this... talking heads making themselves the story -- a contest of who can be the most outlandish or scream the loudest. It's a shame because it's effective. If Stephen A. wasn't behaving that way, no one would care that much or debate it.

Seriously who cares that he left Clevland, or the way he did it. They never built a team around him, he carried them for 7 years, he did not feel as if he could win in cleveland and made what i think a good decision

Dirk stayed and led his team, MJ stayed and led his, Hakeem stayed and led his....

And it wasn't him leaving as much as it was his "LOOK AT ME I AM LEAVING" way of going about it.
