Dirk is a champion - Lebron is not.

Is that the goal? Become an Icon....****, how does that Global icon ring look?

Come on, Lebron is an exceptional talent but he has the TMac, mommasboyitis problem.

Wanna be loved, but can't take the criticism.

For some people , life doesnt revolve around what everyone thinks of him/her... I think he's proven he's one of those people... When his career is over (ring or not) he'll still be a HOF'er.. A trendsetter... and a top 10 player of all-time.. The money he's generating is the icing on the cake...

If that is his goal, then he fine, but he needs to not be telling people to go back to their pathetic lives.

When he is done playing basketball, if he keeps up with all those dingleberry hangers on, he will be broke within 5 years, and irrelevent in 10.

    Happens all the time.

Ask Pippen, if he would rather have the Global icon money or the rings right now...

He wasn't, off the court. I don't care how he acts off the court. As far as on the court performance, Dirk did just what LeBron did in the Finals in that series against GS, after they blew the 06 Finals. He bounced back, years later. Possible for LeBron to do, but only time will tell.

Can it happen , of course...Will it , prob not.. Even MC Hammer is relevant in some capacity... And if people kept sending negativity my way, what do expect me to say??.. Gotta defend myself.. Do I have to ? No... But eventually I would...He's lucky enough to defend himself while sitting on South Beach livin the good life...pardon the great life

What? LeBron is all hype. He has his own crew that markets him. Everything he does is calculated...

Dirk won a title in his 13th season. LeBron just completed his 8th.

It's Lebron claiming himself to be The Chosen One, the King and all that that serves him well for being blasted like this. Dirk never walked around for years like he was all that, giving himself names and marketing himself like a wannabe champ. Stephen A. Smith has always been an annoying person and overreacts everytime he talks, but here he's spot on. He's doing it in a dramatic way because he's on tv but Lebron deserves all the critique.

When i say other people , I meant people such as you and I.. Sure the criticism hurts but it wont deter me from my dreams and life plans.. And anything that "markets" him cant be a bad thing...

You have to add Dirk and Melo to that group. I actually think Melo is much better under the pressure than LeBron.

SAS is an idiot. Is LeBron supposed to go to a monastery and meditate all summer about losing in the Finals? He failed in the clutch big time but it's time to move on. No reason to beat a dead horse that's already mutilated.

He should be thankful he won the DNA lottery, at least athletically, because he lost the brains lottery.

Oh, I think there is time for Lebron to get a ring or a few rings - but maybe not as a leader of a team - more of a Pippen than a MJ.

I think an apt comparison for Lebron is not dirk, but rather c-webb.

Chris Webber was a talent on the level of Lebron who could never get his team over the hump, played for arguably the greatest collegian team ever, the fab 5. Was hyped beyond belief and never got it done.

Chris could have been the greatest pf ever with the talent he had. But he never got the level of hate lebron got.

Methinks Stephen A Smith is antsy because, if this lockout continues long enough, HE will be the one out of a job. Being considerate for team employees my ass.
