looks like javier bardem is the villian. http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/1088320/bond_23_has_found_its_villain.html pretty excited that javy got the nod. sorry if posted already.
love it! looking forward to seeing Craig back as Bond; glad to see they got over the fight that was keeping this from getting made.
What was the fight? I thought they were having a hard time getting the money, which i found hard to believe. I was skeptical at first about the new take on james bond but I admit that the last 2 have been awesome.
Daniel Craig is a very good Bond, and Javier Bardem is probably the best villain actor going, but after the absolute pile that was Quantum of Solace, I have no expectations whatsoever on this movie. I'm guessing that Bardem will play a drug lord?
i just looked it up. i recalled there being a dispute, but I'm seeing that MGM was in a financial mess, and that caused the delay.
what didn't you like about Solace? I was a bit confused the first time I saw it because I hadn't watch Casino Royal since it was in the theatres so I had completely forgot the plot. Going into a Bond movie you don't expect the story line to be continuing like it was...it made much more sense after going back to watch Casino. I assume they will continue along the lines of finding this secret organization
Love the new Bond, and Javier Bardem is my favorite actor at the moment. Other than No Country (despite all the accolades), most of his movies climb on his back and ride him to incredible reviews. Dude is incredibly talented.
Honestly, I don't remember. I just remember that I was bored stiff in the theater, and I don't want to go back and relive that to know what I thought was awful.

QoS is a little better during a second run-through, but a first run-through probably turned off a lot of viewers. Like "Ocean's 12". I liked it better when I saw it a second time (on TV). Still a disappointment, tho. QoS was simply too hyper, the director too desperate in his attempt at an action film.
i would agree i liked it more he second time, but like i said, if you watch casino royale right before solace, the two films actually seamlessly flow into each other,
