Well, the LeBron hate is a little extreme. He is the most talented player in the NBA but he doesn't have that heart of a killer. In his last playoff series in the last two seasons, he's played like he bet on the other team, or like gamblers threatened his family. NO, I'm not saying this happened. But the disappearing act is....odd.

He's the best player in the NBA.

Well LeBron makes it pretty hard to defend him after the Finals flameout. That was pathetic. But Dirk was in the same boat a few years ago and redeemed himself, so maybe it can happen for LeBron as well. Same for Magic in his first Finals against Boston.

Which begs the question: Where did that Lebron go?

I've never liked Lebron but I think the hate is going a tad bit overboard. But hey, I guess that's what he has to deal with making all that money and self promoting himself with his brand, tattoo, and absurd antics.. the choking in the finals certainly doesn't help. He acts like such a baby who wants attention at times, this tweet just reeks of "hey guys, praise me some more. I can play in the NFL if I wanted to."

Nowhere. He destroyed the Bulls and Celtics in the 4th quarter.

Kobe and MJ: seek the thrill of the challenge
Lebron: wants people to tell him how great he is

Lebron doesn't care what anyone else says about him. He's got it al figured out. Play with his best friend, have fun, be on an elite team, and make millions. He's just living an awesome life. Basketball is just a game, forget legacies and legends. Lebron is my idol lol

b/c they were already ahead... Lebron plays great from the front, but when they're behind he just doesn't get the job done =/

EXACTLY. He carried them to the finals, it just happened that Wade played better in the Finals. They wouldn't have been there without James.

this is the only reasonable assessment of lebron I've heard on this board. Lebron killed the pistons AND the wizards just a couple of seasons ago. (I forgort the year and didn't feel like looking it up.) his most recent playoff performances were dissappointing, but to me, it merely shows a player not recognizing his best attributes..Lebron James is NOT a top of the key, three-point shooter in half court. He is best on the slash to catch and finish in half court. On the break, give hime the ball, and let him get his "Magic the Mailman Jordan" on....

No one remembers when Shaq had the concert when he went to Miami? They pulled out super soakers and danced on top of the eighteen wheeler with the Superman logo on the side....

    What does this even mean?

He came back against Detroit in 07 when they were behind.

He singlehandedly tried to make Cleveland beat Orlando by averaging like 40-7-7 which is just ridiculous even though they lost the series.

Against Boston, he hit threes to tie the game IN BOSTON WHILE THEY WERE DOWN IN THE FOURTH QUARTER with big baby screaming at him and Paul Pierce in his face.

He did that twice (second time in Miami).

Then he went out and beat Chicago when Wade had a bad series (Wade was fantastic and set the tempo against Boston even if Lebron ended games but against Chicago it was all Lebron).

I'm not sure what Screamin' A is thinking taking something THIS minor to jump on the hate bandwagon. Lebron's earned the hate, but through all the other stuff, not an unfunny lockout joke.

I really wish at this point James would stop apologizing and just turn all-out heel on America. It would be much more entertaining than his constantly giving people reasons to hate and then trying to backpedal.

Dirk was never in the same boat as Lebron. He never went around acting like he was owed something or had a sense of entitlement.

exactly, dirk didn't run around talking in 3rd person and hyping up his free agency. If you recall, dirk left millions of dollars on the table one summer to go back to germany and work on his game with his coach. Lebron is the ultimate celebrity and craves attention off the court, its fine, btu then hold your own on the court otherwise people will remember this aspect. While as dirk just kept improving, sticking to the mavs, and making it about basketball first and love him or hate him, you hve to respect it and when they came head to head like they did last June...we all saw the result
