I know there are people here who care more about the pros then college, but if you went to a school where the college football scene was big, then you'd understand.
He might not be "good" in the traditional QB sense like Brady or Manning but he's going to be a monster in Fantasy football and you can't be good at FF without making plays. The bottom line is this... he's going to make some mistakes but he's also going to make some huge plays and he will energize the Broncos. That's all part of the growing pains. I didn't like Tebow in college because it was the popular choice for anyone that wasn't a Gator's fan but there's no denying that he's a WINNER. I'm super stoked the Broncos are committing to him and he's going to rejuvinate that team and city and people like him are good for the NFL as it creates a story with excitment and buzz. He showed flashes of brilliance in his 3 late starts last year and last weekend in just a half a game. One could argue he caught the defenses off guard cause they didn't game plan for him or you could say he put up those huge numbers against losing teams but how many times have other players NOT been able to take advantage of a huge opportunity when it was presented? Way too many. You can't help but be optimistic about a guys future when he took advantage of past opportunities . I realize his sample size thus far is very small but the Biggest reason why I think Tebow will be successful is that he's a Winner and a natural Leader. He's also got some good weapons around him on offense that are starting to get healthy. I think Moreno will become relevant again with Tebow and he's a got a solid running veteran in Mcgahee. He's got solid receivers in Lloyd and Decker who are certainly capable and he's got Demaryius Thomas (successor to Brandon Marshall), Eddie Royal (solid slot receiver/safety valve), Julius Thomas (6'5 250+ runs a 4.6, was a 4 year basketball star at Portland State 10 minutes from me so I followed him pretty closely. This guy totally reminds me of the next Antonio Gates) all coming back from injury soon. Things are looking good for Tebow and as a fan of football in general I can't wait for week 6.

He can run, his arm and accuracy are good enough to keep secondaries honest and he's got a lot of support and an unquenchable thirst to lead and win. Some guys don't have the tools to play in the NFL. Tebow isn't one of them.

The issue isn't Tebow. Denver doesn't have the pieces to win. It could be Cam Newton or Ryan Fitzpatrick out there. Ever since McDaniels gutted the team then Denver gutted McD, whatever the plan was never got implemented and they've been rowing with 1 oar for 2 seasons. As for Tebow, he probably could have success with the right system. The situation he's in at Denver is about the worst case possible. GM who didn't draft him and a coach who doesn't know how to use him. Maybe if he was in Boston or New Orleans or Dallas a more aggressive offensive-minded coach could have used him. The situation in Denver reminds me a lot of Doug Flutie coming out of college. It depends on what you want to see. Logically speaking there's not enough empirical evidence to logically say one way or another. But human beings are not evolutionarily wired to be logical and they line up on one side or the other based on gut and bias. On one side you see intangibles and the will to win or on the other you see unorthodox fundamentals and mechanical problems. Flutie got the Bills to the playoffs and got benched. Unless he wins a Superbowl, even with some success Tebow is going to have a rough ride in the NFL. For every Christian nut there's going to be some militant Atheist or Jew who resents him for who he is and rides him for his deficiencies. His second year in the league Tebow still can't run half of his team's offense. Evidently he's a really dumb guy (scored in the bottom of the Wonderlic) and you can see the possibility of him being a less athletic version of Mike Vick, making great plays but too dumb to figure out his offense and running around winging it years into his NFL career.
