[rquoter]Jay Glazer of FOX reports that the Seahawks have agreed to ship Curry to the Raiders. Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the Seahawks will get a seventh-rounder from the Raiders in 2012, and a conditional mid-round pick in 2013.[/rquoter]
High draft pick who hasn't lived up to expectations.....and he's still probably better than anything the Eagles have in the middle of the field.
Now McClain & Curry can be disappointments together while Bey & Pryor can run 4.4's all day -- sweet! JK though, I'd love to have Curry for a 7th.
Now we have 2 underachieving 1st LBs taken in the draft. Seriously, Roxsqaud... tell me why Rolando McClain can't stay in his gaps. I expected more from a Bama player.
I watched McClain on that Saban D and thought he was a sure fire stud in the league. He's a freak of nature but it hasn't translated very well at least at this juncture. Raiders need some big boy LBs before that defense can be legit.
I remember when Curry was taken by the Seahawks. He was touted as being the most NFL-ready LB that year. It was perplexing to see how much he struggled in Seattle.....and I honestly don't know how much better he's going to be in Oakland. But, if this move pans out, it's a big coup for the Raidahs. McClain has been a bit of a dud so far there, but maybe Curry's presence will help that.
Because he just wants to go for the big hit....i mean body slam! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/oJ0LH_jiCDY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The hit he put on Sproles last year still gets my willie a little wonka. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dJctYwUoeqQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Bringing some wood. Sproles knew he had to get out of the division after that hit. Of course Rivers is a stupid **** and led him right into 6 foot 4 inches of black dynamite. Good job Rivers, you ****edy **** **** ****in ****piece of ********
With Rolando's ankle sprain making him doubtful, Curry might be the best LB suiting up already. Problem is he isn't a mike lb. He's not really a strongside lb either, which is sort of the square peg round hole problem he faced in Seattle. Hope he sees a resurgence in black and silver.
I like how the announcer wanted to say "Rolando Blackman". That is why McClain can't be very good...there can be only one awesome Rolando in sports.
Seems like Sproles had a chance to react before the blow. Not only that, McClain doesn't even hit him with his helmet. The crown of Sproles' helmet hits the side of McClain's which could have knocked McClain out instead.
Well it worked when we traded a 3rd rounder for Kamerion Wimbley. Plugged him in at the Sam and put him on the ground during nickel packages and he racked up 9 sacks. The Raiders "simplified" cover schemes and Curry's supposed horrendous coverage skills lead me to believe he may be looked at as Wimbley insurance in case Wimbley has a **** year after signing a huge contract and needs to be cut in the offseason. He only has 1 sack so far this season.
Reminds me of the DawkPLex <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/3cZQNRW6WSA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
lulz... He's been inserted into the starting lineup already vs Cleveland. (Quentin Groves is terrible) Wimbley, McClain, Curry. We've got the beasts, now time to see if they can actually play.
