I stayed at the Huntington on top of Nob Hill last month - was decent. Not really that luxurious but very pre-war/historic.
i'd hate to tell y'all where we stayed last time we were in the city. my parents were kind enough to give us a free room, so i don't feel too ashamed for staying in union square.
I usually give CF.net people extra things like fruit basket, champagne, breakfast, etc. all for a rate that is less than a Motel 8 in Houston. So, for this one person who I will not name, I sent them a fruit basket and champagne on arrival in their room. Apparently this person harassed the front desk and managers, etc. and demanded special treatment, and champagne and a fruit basket every single night.
Damn, that's messed up. Sorry to hear that. I had a great time in your hotel. My friend and I were pretty stoked when we got back that night and saw the welcome basket. The drawing on the plate was especially cool. Here are some pics I took of the hotel. Spoiler Spoiler Btw, did my card ever get to you?
Damn, that sucks. I assure you my wife and I would not be d-bags like that, but I understand if you can't give deals anymore. We're in our early 30's and totally chill, respectful adults . I'm heading there on Thursday and still need to get a room, so I was looking at Priceline. I've never been to San Fran so I'm not familiar with the area at all. It looks like there is a Union Square East and West...is there one that I should avoid?
Please send me a message through the board. I'll see what I can do. If you still want to do it through Priceline, a quick note... Union Sq-West includes Nob Hill, so you may end up further away from the city center than you thought. Union Sq-East has more hotels to choose from. For this Thursday, you will win your name your own price if you bid this: Union Sq-East - 4Star - $175 3Star - $85
