Agreed. Greedy blood suckers on both sides. It's a shame. They are about to lose a ton of fans for good me being one of them.
I think most won't admit it, but the truth is that we care less than most b/c we are Rockets fans. Rockets will not be competing for years. I'm pretty sure lakers, heat fans are crying b/c they have so much to look forward to. Us? Not so much. Another lottery bound year.
Yeah, I agree. And I think that as long as it's football season, that sentiment is shared by the majority of cities around the country. David Stern, the players, and the owners really effed this up for themselves, and now they're paying the consequences. Good luck rebuilding for the second time in 15 years, greedmonsters.
Imagine what Celtics fans must be feeling like right now... That being said, in the words of VBG: **** that, I care.
word. i've been slowly losing interest in basketball over the past few years. not sure i could have more of an indifferent attitude towards the lockout. football is on and that is all that matters.
Right now, I'm not disappointed. My passion for basketball really kicks off in the winter, and skyrockets around febuary. I know there won't be a season, but I would like one.
I'm willing to lose a season for every one of these goons to be humbled and get a different perspective.
I'm sure a lot of fans will lose interest in the NBA if the lockout continues for the entire season (unlikely). I think a lot of fans will be happy once the season is announced and they will continue watching. The players need to realize that if fans lose interest in the game, it hurts them too. Still, the owners have to remember that without the players there is no NBA. They are the most talented athletes in the world and they should be payed the highest.
The entire NBA is a giant cluster**** -- both the players and owners are spoiled brats. Stern has got to go.
Does anyone know how much the NBA wants to cut in salaries? If it's 10%, I think that's fair. What else do the owners want?
The players with a "voice" might not. They're enjoying life. The fringe players that need the money, training, and platform... no "voice". Older guys like Garnett and Nash that want to play before their career is over? Not as big a voice as Hakeem, Shaq, and Stockton had. Perfect storm guys. No season.
