Oh, has anyone here ever had dove tamales? One of the guys that works for me said they eat them all the time in Mexico (Guanajuato), they're a massive agricultural pest down there and you can pretty much kill all you want. Sounded pretty delicious to me.
Pork, guisado de puerco, salvadoreños, dulces (sweet; without meat, with raisins and pink-colored), beans, chicken, green, etc., I've tried almost all tamales out there... The ones from "Doña Tere" taste awful. That's a mass-produced tamal, so it ain't gonna taste good. Also, please call them correctly: tamales are plural, tamal is singular. PLEASE.
