and on my player these damn press conferences are misleading. So I had a 40 point game and the guy was like how does it feel, I chose the option that said "I was just doing what felt natural" Thinking I was taking a low key approach and letting the game come to me, except my guy goes on about how maybe its not such a ogod thing bc now i ahve to live up to this expectation...what the hell!
this version pisses me off. 90 in mid range, 60 in vertical, 80 in consistency and i still miss 60% of my nearly wide open jump shots. wtf is going on? my 3 pointers is at 80% and it's at a higher efficiency than my mid range. btw, the game has me ranked as pro 3 or 4.
no, it's green in the middle. the game just blows for jump shots and drives. unless there's no one within 3 feet of you, you're going to miss most of the times. reading on gamefaqs and this guy has 99 on mid range etc and he's still getting a lot of misses.
I've had a different experience. Once I get a form that I right and it is on green, I usually hit the shot 80 percent(I am an 86 from mid range and a 75 from shooting in traffic). I usually set it up with a step back dribble to free up space. See it is morethan just your shooting ranges bc then you can be rated on your skills on a step back jumper or dribble, so different scenerios, etc determine your shot just like in real life where a player could be an amazing shpot up shooter, but bad off the dribble, etc.
If you're being guarded and are missing on perfect shots it makes sense. You probably need to increase shot in traffic. If its wide open jumpers, idk man
This game is annoying the hell out of me. I'm playing Association i don't even attempt to play My Player. - EVERY time i play good D and they shoot a buzzer beater - it goes in. EVERY TIME. - Try to go up for a layup/dunk down low - for some reason it fakes and just stays there leading to a block when i do actually get up. - Try to initiate a post play and start backing down - usually ends up in 3 second calls because my guys can't understand me wanting them to drop step - The usual computer intercepts everything i pass, incredibly frustrating on 2on1 fast breaks - The usual computer making every cross court pass they attempt - They offensive rebound like crazy - Kevin Martin missing wide open 3s while no names are making it rain contested jumpers Ahhhhhh my controller needs to be thrown.
I think shooting is easy in this game so you guys maybe doing something wrong. what i do agree with the passes are too slow and get intercepted too much and that layups or inside shots miss or get blocked way too often
Maybe you guys just suck at playing this game, lol. For some reason, you guys are blaming the game and the reality of it is you're playing it wrong and are expecting things to happen (like making shots, not getting blocked) that are mostly up to the gamer's skills and not the ratings of the player. Please try to understand the mechanics of the game first before you complain.
It is interesting, Aaron brooks is on my team now and whenever he comes in the game I have to move to SG, the guy plays like in real life. 1-1 basketball, a lot of dribbling, and never passes the damn ball. I know its ridiculous, but I kind of hate him after playing on the same team on him in a video game.
Bought NBA 2k11 last year and loved it. Never buy sports games two years in a row, but the My Player mode and Legends mode sound so much fun. argh
I've bought every NBA2K since 2K6. Lol. The worst jump was during the 2K9 to 2K10 era. Those games sucked.
In my player, it seems like the other team is guaranteed to drain any shot with the slightest room. Anyone have any tips how to deal with this such as a way to tell your team to play tighter? It's especially frustrating when they're doing an iso against your team's AI and there's really nothing you can do but watch the opposing team kill you.
That's always been the problem with My Player. Your teammates AI is pretty mediocre, and the opponent CPU plays like a God. There's really nothing you can do about it.
