This time last year, we had just been water-boarded by a non-playoff giants team at home and jail-raped by a cowboys team that would start the season 1-7. That's a little different than losing a couple of nail-biters to the saints and raiders. Last year, there were warning signs galore in the first 5 games that something was amiss. What are the warning signs (besides injuries) this year?
Yeah, went to the game thread - you will NEVER guess what they're talking about. (JASON ALLEN! Psych. It's Schaub. Over. And over. And over....) It's weird because... even if we all Kumbaya-agree Schaub played terribly.... where's the thread on Lawrence Vickers' drop? Why is Scahub leading him, like, 1,000-to-3 in posts? I would put that as the single worst play of the year by far and I don't even know if there's a -- ah, screw it - let's get back to Schaub-killin'!!!!
AJ is going to miss 1 more game. Losing Mario will definitely hurt, but do you really think the season is over because of it?
Can't believe yall have forgotten about how bad things were in Houston when David Carr was under center.
Losing Super Mario will be huge. He had like 5 sacks these last 4 games and was due for a monster probowl season. Also he was just getting used to playing OLB. Now we gotta start all over again with a rookie who hasn't played that position as well and he's no Mario.
Not so sure about that. These guys are definately better IMO: Manning Brady Rodgers Rapist Dogkiller Rivers Eli Ryan Newton (yes, I said it) Romo I would add Stafford to the list if I trusted him to stay healthy. Flacco is arguable as well.
right now the dog killer is putting up awesome numbers, what did he have 4 ints? Ok, I won't use stats because his line does not protect him at all. He is always throwing under pressure. what? qbs under heavy pressure make mistakes? no way! 1-3 Raper without a line looks sedated. Eli eh, I like him. Ryan, I like because he is younger. Romo? really? It would be nice if Dirk texted Schaub though.
Not really, but within the game, they went from having a really good pass rush to none to speak of when Mario went out. Really, the only thing that makes me even somewhat confident is the weak schedule.
Am I the only who thinks it was all Jacoby's fault? He was running crappy routes all day and I think he was playing high. He couldn't even get a hand on a ball thrown to him. This is what bugs me about Kubiak. He won't pull a player who is obviously stinking it up. Okoye and Slaton are 2 other examples.
He can't play, but he makes hilarious YouTube videos. What about that kid from LSU that had so much potential during training camp? Or the kid from Oregon? Jesus, I sound like Barry Warner calling everyone kids...
And whose fault is that? Did Jacoby all of a sudden suck this year? Perhaps he sucked last year and Kubiak and co. should have addressed the situation in the offseason.
What's funny is David Carr, in 5 seasons as a Texan, had the same number of 4th qtr comebacks (7) and game-winning drives (10) as Schaub. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/comeback.cgi?player=CarrDa00 http://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/comeback.cgi?player=SchaMa00 Granted, this is only Matt's 5th season with us. I guess Carr was a stud as well!!!
