campbell has a strong arm and stands tall, he has his pluses over schaub, he's definitlely in a lower tier though
And you're looking at it from the other side with blue steel colored glasses. The Texans had chances to put it away in the 1st half, in the 2nd half the momentum completely shifted. The Raiders dominated the LOS in the 2nd and could have put the game out of reach several times and failed to do so. Campbell kept throwing up duck after duck deep balls with no chance instead of looking for underneath options. Not even a single look at the TE all game. Raiders had a lot of opportunities to put the game out of reach and had to settle for FGs. Credit goes to the defense. The bottom line is Schaub's offensive line was getting dominated out there and he got up from every hard hit and managed to find a way to get them down the field in position to win the game. BOTTOM ****ING LINE. Matt Schaub is a top 10 QB in the league and you Texans fans b**** because he isn't Tom Brady.
Calm down, superman. All I've said is that I'm not sure he's capable of leading THIS TEAM to a championship.
really... here is the list again (with my comments) minus the tier IV as I said I wouldn't trade for any of those except cassell. Tier I Manning - no explanation needed Brady- no explanation needed Rodgers- no explanation needed Roethlisberger- no explanation needed Tier II Eli Manning - sb winner, on this texans team (solid line and running game) would be great Rivers - no explanation needed Flacco - this is 50/50 but age is a factor Romo - again very schaub like but similar to eli with our offence and running game would be great Ryan - better and younger Schaub Vick - injuries a problem but dude is explosive. again our offense and running game dude would be sick. Tier III Bradford - younger, potential franchise qb Cutler - you get cutler not his team, cutler with this offense and running game better than schaub. Fitzpatrick - 50/50, but playing great this year. Freeman - younger, potential franchise qb Newton - simply unbelievable was this dude has done through first 4 games. Stafford - young potential franchise qb Sanchez - younger, with our offense and running game would do very well so there you have it. as i said you could make a case for all of those tier III being a better option either now or long term than schaub. in fact another way at looking at, i don't think any of those teams would do the trade and that says more about schaub then i ever could. oh and 95% of that list is more mobile than boat anchor schaub.
Campbell has **** for touch on his deep balls, he has receivers streaking down the sideline and he always puts the ball just so that the receiver can make the catch and land OUT OF BOUNDS. He's a caretaker QB at best. He can manage a game and make smart decisions, hand offs, but he isn't going to pull a beast 50 yard TD pass out of his ass with the game on the line. I'm wondering what Terrell Pryor has got at this point.
no, i don't want a championship. i love 7-9, the 8th seed and a good 100 loss season. so much more endearing that way.
I get it. I've lived here for 4 years now. Houston Sports = Schizophrenic fans that have their hopes raised and dashed on a weekly basis. Can't wait until the Rockets land Dwight and CP3 and we get back to winning so I don't have to deal with all this self-loathing.
They don't want to hear it. I don't know why... but they don't. With Mario hurt, all of their ire (and ohhhhhh... is there a lot of it) will now be placed entirely on Schaub. Does not matter what happens - if they lose, you'll see 54 pages of why they should draft Kase Keenum. Oh, sure - they'll acknowledge others' faults, but only in passing. And then they'll start a 54-page thread about trading Schaub for the Eagles' 3rd CB. I guess it's just easier? I don't know. Given the context of yesterday's game, I thought Schaub played pretty well. And I thought the Raiders' D played exceptionally well. I suspect ya'll are going to sneak-win that division. Should be 6-2 going into SD in a month.
LOL, I really don't think we're going to go 7-9 this year... Seriously, look at the schedule. Do you see 7 more losses?
Me neither, but last year, when the Texans were 3-2 after just losing to a good Giants team, did you think they were going 6-10? I certainly didn't.
not far from it. The Jax and Denver game were the obvious blown games. The rest of the schedule was pretty brutal.
Point me to the 21-page thread about.... well, anyone. Hell, find 21 *posts* that don't implicate Schaub: Originally posted by Groogrux schaub is an overrated pansy. And the team is 3-2! Again, I'll invite you to find any level of vitriol for any other aspect of yesterday's game in any other thread.
Ric, I was critical of him too...but that's very different than saying he's the only reason they lost the game.
