i'd say the eagles were dead and buried if not for the absolute bed-wetting the giants had hosting the seahawks.

Yeah and if you look at next week's schedule, I'd say Buffalo will beat NYG and the Patriots will beat Dallas. So if the Eagles win next week, they're no more than 2 games back from anybody in the division. It seems like wishful thinking at the moment though. The big key is how the players will react. You clearly saw they did not throw in the towel yesterday but hopefully they don't quit on Reid. Just win next week, use the bye to get key players healthy (Cole, Peters) and regroup after a win, if they do win next week. I guess we'll see. Washington will bring more pressure.....tons more pressure than anybody the Eagles have faced so far this season so I am not saying next week is a gimme at all.

    My summary so far:

    1) Packers are CLEARLY the best team in the L, with the best player in the L in Rodgers. Too many offensive weapons, + a good D. They are just way too confident right now. Falcons will still have a chance at playoffs, but they got away from their game plan last year that gave them success: running the damn ball.

    2) Buffalo continues to surprise, b/c of their RB Jackson, highly underrated player. They will make the playoffs barring a choke like vs the Bengals. Eagles are pretty much done, no matter what the rest of their division does. Vick is clearly back to earth after that great stretch last year. He has been 1-7 as a starter his last 8 games. You really didn't expect Vick to not throw interceptions and play at a high efficiency do you? He's slowly reverting back to the Falcons Vick now.

    3) NO Saints continue to be the cardiac kids. Their D isn't as opportunistic as it was 2 years ago, and they are highly dependent on Brees like the Pats on Brady. They're not a championship-caliber team with that defense. Cam and Steve continue to impress.

    4) Oakland is legit. Their strengths are in the trenches, and that is how you win games. They're still too young at this winning thing, but they should win at least 9 games if they continue to play this way. Their future is bright though. Texans are like schizophrenic people.

    5) Giants were highly impressive until the choke this week. Eli though he was Peyton to be throwing the ball around like that. That division is b/t them and the Cowboys though.

    6) Balt/Pit/Ten will be the fight to watch as all 3 teams have beaten up on in each other in blowout fashion

    7) SF is very surprising, but that defense is really really scary. Josh Freeman hasn't taken that next step.

    8) SD still isn't winning like they should. I expected them to challenge for the AFC crown, but they're barely beating bad teams. Denver is getting ready for the Tebow!!!

    9) NE got a running game? That should scare everybody. Jets are no longer quick on D, and Sanchez still is mediocre = mediocre team. Hopefully Ryan will stop talking

    10) For Monday night, Lions should beat the Bears. CJ with another 2 TDs

Vick isn't reverting back as he is still better than his time in Atlanta. What people like you tend to forget is that stretch was an anomaly. It would be a great stretch for Manning, Brady, Brees, etc. to go almost half a season with no interceptions but we shouldn't consider that to be the norm as it is not and anybody who does.....well they don't know about football.

Let's look at the last 8 games which you point out where he is actually 2-6 and not 1-7. He didn't play in the Dallas finale last season.

Buffalo: He had a pretty good game and of the 4 picks he threw, 1 was his fault. 2 hit the receivers in the hands and they have to make those catches and the other he was hit while throwing and it was pretty much a pop fly.

You could realistically put the San Francisco, New York and Atlanta this year, Green Bay in the playoffs and the Minnesota loss last year on the defense.

Vick had a great season last year so no need to bring that up. The team is 1-4 so people have trouble grasping that despite the record Vick is still playing well.

Best Atlanta Season in comparison to this season:

Highest Completion Percentage: 56% This season: 63%

Highest Yards Per Game Average: 195 This season: 267

Highest quarterback rating: 81 This season: 85

He's still playing well and above anything he did as a quarterback in Atlanta. The Eagles defense has been absolutely horrible and don't get me started on his offensive line but as most quarterbacks he'll receive a lot of attention when they are doing badly but it's a team effort when they're winning.

Unfortunately, they don't get an easier this season. 5 division games left, Patriots, Jets and Bears among others. That's why I've said if they can win next week they're still in the hunt for the division because it really is wide open right now.

Very interesting game tonight in the D , Will Bears secondary be able to Contain Megatron, T.Young , Burleson . Will Best have a decent running game , which will open up the passing game. Will Cutler be sacked 3-4 times ? Suh , VandenBosch , Fairley finally might play tonite . Will forte Continue to have a stellar season on that huge Lions D-line ?

watching that segment on the lions former qb and depression was really sad. Made me think about how basically i feel like i'm permanently depressed and have been all my life, but have never tried getting help b/c i will never take medication.

Wish i could search the forums for threads on peoples experience with depression here on clutchfans and see if any of it helps.

Anyway, this looks like a great game. If Megatron goes off again tonight, i think i am ready to give him the title as Best Receiver at the top all by himself. As of now, he is tied with AJ and Fitz

The Giants have wins over 0-4 St. Louis, 1-4 Philly, and needed a big comeback to beat 1-4 Arizona. I think they are mediocre at best.

I'm down by 20 with Forte and Megatron still to play.

He has the Bears D and Tulloch, what are the odds that I pull it off?
